Not hearin' it. Very different melodies.
Funnily enough, IIHAG has a much simpler vocal melody. Which goes to show that complexity don't mean shit when it comes to making a classic song.
IOT is one of my all tiime disappointing tracks. It had a lot of potential if they hadn't decided to make it a full-on John Lennon karaoke/tribute record.

I feel like that with IOOT, they were trying to find this uplifting vibe and missed the boat. For example had this been on DOYS it would have sat in the 5 spot.

this absolutely blows IOT out of the water. IOT isn't even in my top 5-7 Liam songs (including BDI). This is one of Noel best tunes of the 00's and its working its way up to being one of his finest ever.

I agree. I think IIHAG would've served the same purpose in DOYS but been much more successful. The highlight of that 5 song (front loaded) stretch rather than an underwhelming tribute to John Lennon.

Not hearing it, IOT is a totally different type of song and it's a belter.
IIHAG is a mix between Stop Crying Your Heart Out and Who Put The Weight Of The World On My Shoulders.

sounds a LOT like "Nothing left to Lose" by Mar Kearney. I mean, even the structure of the song itself.

If anything, the intro reminds me of Gas Panic.
