Do you think if The Roller demo that was originally recorded with Oasis had seen the light of day (i.e. been leaked and able to view on YouTube) that Beady Eye would have put it on the album? It seems they want to distance themselves from anything Oasis related atm, so I doubt they would re-release a song that everyone had familiarized with Oasis.

id have thought so, they released Man Of Misery which despite the original Pretty Green being credited as 'Liam Gallagher' it was really an Oasis demo, with Noely G on drums

That is true, but was kind of a deep cut. The Roller is Beady Eye's main song (arguably). Most people know them for it and would probably remember the leaked Oasis demo that sounded like Instant Karma or something and immediately associate it with that.

We have to remember that "everyone" really means hardcore fans - and a few others who just happen to stumble upon it online - which probably don't make up for more than 15 - 20% of album and/or single sales... Don't think they really care about such a small percentage of listerners - people that already are gonna buy the album. The best way for them to distance themselves from oasis is to release the best songs possible and make people who's not familiar with the BE - Oasis connection interested. Something they probably won't succeed with during the first year of touring and releasing the album...

It was definitely not Noel on drums.

I think he more meant all his own demos.

I don't think they'd have used it as the lead single. I also think Man of Misery would have made the album if Liam hadn't already used it whilst in Oasis.
