I don't hear him say the words "if I had a gun" in the soundcheck, does anyone know why its called "if i had a gun"?

It's probably called If I Had A Gun because It's part of the lyrics ala what revolvearound has in his sig.

Where did anyone say it had to be in the lyrics to be the title? which is what i was getting at!!!  it could be just a title that Noel likes similar to THT BHN WFTR or it could well feature, people are relying on the soundchecks to be exactly the song we will eventually hear i wish people would stop going on about the soundchecks now they have had their time, its now time for the actual songs to have theirs  |

MOJO printed some of it's lyrics. Some of those lyrics were
"If I had a gun
I'd rob the moon and steal the sun
Then everyday would be the same for you"
That is why.
It is a weird title. No they don't have to be in the lyrics but for Noel generally they are. I can't think of any examples where they aren't except TIOBI and THT.

The reason the soundcheck song was given that title was because Noel revealed it in his tour blog in 2009. oasisnewsroom.live4ever.us/2009/05/noel-new-oasis-song-is-called-if-i-hadBut to be honest, I reckon the title will be in the lyrics somewhere. The Mojo magazine interview said it's got "If I had the time" in the lyrics so "If I Had A Gun" probably will be as well I would guess. |

And also, there's: Columbia, Be Here Now, Bonehead's Bank Holiday, Cloudburst, Digsy's Dinner, Gas Panic!, Married with Children, My Sister Lover, Shakermaker, The Cage, The Swamp Song, Those Swollen Hand Blues, Waiting for the Rapture... So it hasn't been too much out of the norm with Noel. |

It's a killer title, but i think we need to tell everyone that the MOJO lyrics were made up on an older forum by @(revolve)around. The lyrics in the article are:
"If I had the time
I'd stop the world and make you mine
and everyday would be the same for you"
