Seriously where the fuck did he come from?! How did he get to where he is, how did he end up in the Gorillaz & Beady Eye? No vagina seems to know anythin' about him! Jeff Wootton is an English musician from Manchester. He has played guitar with Damon Albarn in Gorillaz alongside Mick Jones and Paul Simonon of The Clash and has been recruited by Liam Gallagher to play bass in his post-Oasis project Beady Eye. He has also collaborated with Nick McCabe and Simon Jones from The Verve. In the underground music scene in the United Kingdom he is mostly known for being one of the founders of The Black Marquee.>>The Black Marquee are an English alternative rock outfit/musical collaboration formed in Manchester, England. The Black Marquee have drawn great attention from the media early on, particularly from British style magazine Dazed & Confused (magazine) who published their first feature. The Black Marquee had their own residency which became relatively popular. The first night featured a performance from Nick McCabe of The Verve and Damo Suzuki from Can (band). The night was known for its well designed 1960s inspired posters. The nights were held at The Night and Day Café on Oldham Street, Manchester. There you go now ;D

If anyone's got any good questions, you could always submit them to me... Will be interviewing him in October. Would be nice to get some questions from the other part of the fanbase (got mostly questions from Gorillaz fans).

And as for selling it to him, if Liam Gallagher gives you a call then you say yes.

Hahah yes! Liam already explained in an interview - he just rang Jeff, invited him for a try-out, thought he was cool and wanted him in the live band.
Yeah, don't think Jeff had to think too long about that one!

Just came upon this but it appears that the tweet prior to this was about recording guitar for someone. I'm sure his post was just a response to a question. He also has about 12 tweets saying how much he's enjoying the tour thereafter.

I bet if he was 10 years older no one would say anything. He does look a bit young to be in the band...
