With Noel releasing his album very soon, doing interviews, putting a song on youtube, releasing a single (which I am very impressed with btw - craftsman ship at it's finest) I must say momentum is building for a collosal year or two for the cheif.
While The Death of You and Me is in my opinion, a great choone which let me know that this album was going to be all class; I know that it won't be the best song on the album... Might even sit half way down the pack, even further if we're lucky.
Stop the Clocks, Record Machine, If I Had a Gun, Everybody's on the Run. These songs will be very good. Noel would have to have a complete fuck up to blunder his own work here. But I have faith.
Noel has moved away from the Oasis sound, inevitable really seeing as though Liam's voice is what shaped the finished product. But this is a good thing. I think the album willbe lauded..
Then after a year of everyone being mighty pleased with this piece he further moves away from the Oasis machine, the AA album, his first TRULY experimental album. Which I personally can not wait for. The critics will be tripping over their tongues that someone from Oasis collaborated on this. I think the album will be lauded.
He is being clever not releasing them at the same time so they aren't compared to each other and so he doesn't over expose himself.
Two years time and this will be known as the return of the cheif.
Exciting times for music lovers...

I hope you're right, and my hopes are also high. I'd almost say, in a strange way, I'm less excited now, than I was with BDI. We already know half of the songs here, and we're quite confident that it's going to be great. While with BDI we had absolutely no idea, and everyone had its doubts. Don't get me wrong, Noel's album is the album (I hope) I wanted him to make for a long time, so I'm really look forward to it, but on the other hand, I feel a different sort of excitement for this album, I'm much less nervous and more confident I guess

I cant wait for Noels album, even more so when he seemed to admit he wanted it to all start off with a 'trickle' by not releasing the best song(s) off the album to begin with which is a bold move.
Do like Death of You and Me but hearing those rehearsal tunes on youtube, those two sound huge.
HOWEVER i'm not looking forward to the AA album, i hope i'm pleasantly surprised but i've just got fears there'll be 28 minute remixes with a bit of Noels voice on some trippy dance song.
I was gutted Oasis split up but 'happy' that we're getting a lot of tunes/tours. The Beady Eye album surprised me, really enjoyed it, great tour, now we have Noel and his album to tide us over, once that quietens down next year we have the AA album and i'm sure later in 2012 we'll have another Beady Eye album and another tour so its all good.

I'm not really fussed on Stop The Clocks or Record Machine but I can't wait for Everybody's on the Run and If I Had A Gun. The fact we've already heard bits make me more excited personally, as the ones we haven't heard are just names and aren't really 'real' yet. If that makes sense. I wasn't really excited about Beady Eye until about two weeks before it leaked.

Yeah I'll have to say the excitement is starting to grow on me now I guess the fact that I just wanted to hear *something* from a Gallagher (not Rory or Paul that is) made me more excited about BDI than I should've been. They satisfied my musical needs though, but not all of them, I need at least 1new classic! =D

The buzz from this album is palpable.
I just know it will be epic.

BDI was much more of an unknown quantity. And it was the first non-Oasis Gallagher project. Beginning of an era. Noel is much safer bet but that also means that there isn't as much to be nervous about. And that nervousness for BDI was the source of a lot of my excitement. If I never get as hyped about the Noel project I am fine with that though. After all the hype disipitates pretty quickly after the album release...and you just end up with the music. I am confident that the music will stand me in good stead.
