.........hearing him giving out about having to play live is doing me tits in at this stage.
Every fucking time its brought up he makes the live shows sound like such a fucking chore and stopping short of saying "Look i dont want to fucking do them!"
Lazy vagina. Awwwww poor Noel having to stand there with couple of thousand people worshiping him singing along to DLBIA and prob the whole album, every line even though it'll only be out a week Ill be in the Olympia, Dublin first night cant fucking wait all the same.
Ill be most annoyed if its a turn up and take the money job like that utter disgrace Witness 2002 oasis performance and a few pther lack lustres ive seen over the years? These shouldnt be any less than fucking euphoric given the circumstances
Cum on feel da noize

If I was in a successful band I could also imagine becoming extremely sick of live gigs. He should do a Beatles 1966 onwards on it....release albums every few months and then play on a roof at some stage

You sound more like the miserable bastard than Noel.

Honestly, I think he is just nervous. I think he'll lighten up a few gigs in once he realizes that people are paying attention.
It's an unknown quantity. Give him a break for a bit.
Besides he hasn't said that he doesn't want to do the gigs. Just that he is a bit nervous about starting out without Liam on stage.
BDI were nervous and really the proposition for them hadn't changes nearly as much as it has for Noel. Sure Noel gets to play 2 or 3 Oasis songs. But those will be the only constants leftover from Oasis. Cold comfort I am sure. Everything has changed.

It's nerves + he's playing low key, which is nice for a change.

As long as the music is good, which so far it is, and he plays the songs well live what the hell are people complaining about?
He ISN'T complaining about having to play live. He is just very hesitant about whether he can carry a whole show with material that he has very tried before, or most of it anyways. And, though he hasn't said it, do you doubt that he is any less concerned that people are gonna start hollaring Oasis songs right away and ask where Liam?
After all. I thought I remembered someone having asked Noel where Liam was at his last TCT gig. And at the acoustic shows it seems like the crowd weren't shy about requests.
Noel might not get off as lightly as BDI because he has said he will play Oasis tunes and people will notice the lack of Liam on stage more than you would notice the lack of Noel on stage.

I can't see why Noel would be nervous. He has had to deal with being the frontman on a number of occasions, and those times he had a lot less time to prepare because he only found out Liam had pulled out mere hours before he was due to go on (MTV Unplugged and The Point in Dublin spring to mind, I'm sure there were other occasions) and he handled himself well. He'll be fine.

He only had a few hours on those occasions to come to terms with the prospect of "oh shit, now I'M singing all the songs tonight" whereas in this case he has had months and years to prepare.

Plus those gigs were made up of material that he had been playing live for months or years. People already knew them and they were popular
Plus he was on drugs for those

If Noel were playing Oasis sized gigs, I'd see why he might be nervous. But the gigs that he's planning are doing--those are right in his sweet spot. Is he not aware of how great his Stop The Clocks/TCT stuff is? He'll be pretty safe playing in front of a few rabid thousand who know every tune in his songbook and are aching to hear the new stuff.

Noel, you don't have to be a frontman! You just have to be a singer/songwriter. Much different task.

My interpretation is that it won't be Noel sitting on a chair strumming an acoustic guitar (as per the TCT shows and his tour with Gem). I'm not sure how he'll work it. He isn't a frontman and there aren't many other guitarists turned solo artists to compare him with. I can understand his nerves.

But Miles always seemed ready to be a frontman, at least to me.

he will bust some golden drifter moves, perhaps a moon walk, an electric glide and a windmill. burn his guitar and fly out of the gig on a jet pack
