Let's break down the influences on Noel's new songs.
The Death of You and Me
He told MOJO, "When the brass kicks in you're in New Orleans."
The Good Rebel
He said in a pre-High Fling Birds interview with a Swedish fan forum (Oasis Generation), "The Good Rebel, yeah! That is a real good demo of that! Sounds like, it sounds like Rain by The Beatles crossed with Tambourine Man by Bob Dylan!"
What a Life!
Noel said Strings of Life by Rhythim is Rhythim "partly inspired What a Life" in a MOJO interview and said he would have it played at his funeral. The track was also mentioned in a Sun interview (particularly the piano), and with Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music (22nd August 2011).
