Right, so we have SIR Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Tom Jones, Bob Geldof, Elton John, Gary Glitter and few others. Do you think that Noel has done "enough" to "promote British culture" to be honoured with a knighthood? Do we have to wait until he's 65? And would he accept it...?
What are your thoughts?

he should skip the knighthood and just take God's throne.
...failing that he could always be the new lord of Porkshire

I think he should get one next year... And if he does enough, Liam might get one one day... But Noel would get one first... he should skip the knighthood and just take God's throne. I often call him Sir Noel anyway... And, instead of "Oh my God!", I often say "Oh my Gallagher"...

Sir Liam Gallagher? No way...If he's lucky he'll get the Honorary Citizenship of Botswana, but not GBE.

Noel certainly deserves a knighthood, he changed a lot of people's lives for the better.
God bless Noel Gallagher.

He would never accept it, as he's made clear for many years. It would go against everything the man stands for, so I would hate to see it happen. Again, the Gallagher's have always been about principle.....

In the name of the father, and of the son, and of Noel Gallagher. Amen.

I think he'd accept it... They don't exactly have the same standards that Keith Richards had/has... The Gallaghers were always proud of where they came from. they were proud to be English... And I think they'd both take it out of respect and pride for the country...

Noel says he wouldn't, but I bet he would.
Though I could be biased cos I just read the Andy Bell interview.

As much as we like Liam and Noel, I think it would take a little more to make them deserve to be knighted.

It would go against everything the man stands for this. leave the knighthood for elton and macca, noel's cut from a different mold.

Jagger brought in a huge amount of awareness and publicity for Britain's music and tourism, and lot of money for the economy (before they fled the country). Remember when he took part in the All You Need Is Love promo thing, sorta like that. If anything, Noel's stereotypical bigheadedness in the international media has had a reverse effect on people's interest in Britain. I think.

One of his more iconic moments is surely below:

One of his more iconic moments is surely below: He's anti-establishment. That's why. As for Tony Blair, Noel has constantly said he went because he was curious. And I'm sure drugs played a part, there, too. Remember, at the time he thought Tony Blair represented the common person, too.
