This might be a tad early but we know Noel is planning to do another web chat in the near future. He mentioned it in a little interview on his homepage. We should list some questions that NEED to be asked but have never been done so yet.
Question #1: What happened to the song 'Slow' Owen Morris mentioned in Q Magazine in September 1997? He said it was one of the best songs you have written but it wasn't right for an Oasis album. Where is this tune now?
I've been dying to know what the deal is with this song. This was the original 'Stop The Clocks' super hyped up song of its day and age. I remember people desperately hoping it was a hidden track on SOTSOG.
Anybody else?

Good call, maybe we should list questions in here and then pick the best ones and submit them from the forum to the webchat rather than individually?
as for questions..........dammit its too early in the morning for me. I'll report back later after ive had caffeine

I think that's a good idea lennon2217, I'm sure we're all tired of those interviews with the same old questions, this is our chance to ask noel himself about lost tracks and demos.

I would ask two things. If he goes back to work with former members of Oasis in the future (Bonehead, Guigsy or Alan White). And if he will change the setlist at the gigs ...

Noel already mentioned in the first web chat that he wouldn't change the set. Because he wanted everybody to have the same experience. He wouldn't play different songs, because it would feel like he let down the people who didn't hear that one particular song they'd like to hear.

they never ask the good questions for these types of thing
it will be stupid questions like 'would you rather blow up a red balloon or a yellow balloon??'

I'd also like to know why a song like 'Round Are Way' was not on The Masterplan? Noel has to like the song. Oasis played it at what seemed like every gig in 1996. It was even in the movie A Life Less Ordinary. It is a top tune and definitely deserved a place on that great b-sides album. I'd say 'Step Out' as well but they probably left it off so they didn't have to pay royalties to Stevie Wonder. Just a theory.

An awesome b-side and very different from the typical Oasis song in 1995.

About 40 seconds in. "It's appalling. Rubbish." You can see all the clips on youtube. A very good interview when looking back. Some funny lines here and there. Looking forward to a new hour long one in the future.

Inet conducted a poll and the top 14 were picked iirc.

Noel had final say over all tracks on the album. I'm not sure the results of that poll were ever released to the public.

Not related but yesterday I was browsing through the old Oasisinet site, from 1996 to 2000 and made some screencaps like the one above, If anyone is interested I can upload them.

So the site said to pick 12 but there was 14 on the album. I didn't remember that 'Whatever' was even an option to vote for. I am shocked that didn't make the cut. I still believe Noel had final say and probably vetoed songs off like 'Whatever', 'Round Are Way' and 'Step Out'. 'Whatever' would have definitely been voted on.

Will Don't Stop Being Happy ever be released? Would be nice to have a definite answer and the sort of question no journalist is ever going to ask.
