Last week I listened to the radio, and Bittersweet symphony was on the air. After this song was played, the radio DJ started talking about Richard. About some facts in the past like the Rolling Stones thing on Bittersweet Symphony, and thinks like that. He ended his story the this new fact which supossed to be topsecret: Oasis has recorded a new song on which Richard and Liam are singin' together. He told us there is a big chance that song will be released on the new album ... The name of the song would be ´Universe`.
Well when i heard this I felt of my chair. Does anyone think/know it's true ? If it is, I think it's cool !
cheers lads !

A Dutch one. It's called 3FM (not the british one 3FM - serious radio), and it's one of the best up here in Holland. I believe they don't pull out shite stories.

This was posted on the unofficial Ashcroft forum today by the sites admin who gets updates directly from Richard, no mention of this rumor though........
Posted: Tue Oct 26, 2004 4:34 pm Post subject: Words from Richard today...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spoke to Richard this afternoon. There are a number of things we talked about - some surprising, some not so, some disappointing - so here we go.
1) He is adamant and wants to scotch ALL rumours - THE Verve are NOT getting back together, now, next year or at any time. My question ('So are The Verve getting back together then?') was greeted with 'Are they hell!!!' So let's put it to bed forever - no matter what you hear on the grapevine - it's DEAD!
2) He let quite a big one slip. There are going to be further releases from The Verve however - unreleased recordings and the like, maybe B sides aswell...BEFORE his next solo album.
3) He is about to go back into the studio to start from scratch his next solo album.
and finally....
4) There's no chance of the album being out in February. It's looking likely for late spring/early summer.
Oh one last thing...no-one's approached him to do Band Aid III - if anyone knows Midge Ure tell him to get on the blower!!!

Maybe this song is ment to show Richard is still there, and Oasis helps him a bit with this. Cast No Shadow was also ment to give Richard a hand wasn't it ? Now they might are trying to help him by releasing an Oasis song on the new Oasis album with Liam and Richard together. It might be cool If Richard will support Oasis on there next tour also ... On the forum Richard said he's gonna do some new stuff in the studio, release some old Verve things, so I guess he's doin' a lot again. It's all movin' a little again. It wouldn't surprise me if he already did or will do that "Universe" song. Ya know, i'll send the 3fm radiostation an e-mail today, asking where they get this news from. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- * by the way ... people say Richard was on BHN. I never noticed. On which song would that be ? I knew Liam did some stuff on Come On, together with The Verve (aldo I can't really hear his voice quite clear on that one). o yeah, i found this picture not that new, but still cool !

ey webby, ave ya found any news 'bout this ? I aven't. I tried to contact the radiostation, but they simply did not wanna give any comment, they had a talk with some of the managment groups. Didn't told me if that was Richards or the oasis managment. That was everything they could tell me. And they (3fm Holland) r forbitten to tell anymore bout this. So that's all i could find out .... strange ... I guess we ave to wait till the album will be released to see if it's true ...
