Part of Noel's legacy with Oasis was his memorable guitar solos how many memorable guitar solos do you think we will get in this debut album?

He's already said it "isn't Guitar Hero." So probably two.

Don't look back in anger. That's that I think you're forgetting the most important one Live Forever. I hope Noel has a maximum of 2 on the album. His songs these days are better without them. (POTQ, FD, TDOYAM). TIOBI was an exception to that rule though, so we'll see.

I always loved the one on IGBM. I love how it builds and builds and then just explodes. I Got The Fever does likewise, and that's just as awesome, if not more so.
Sadly, it seems he got scared of doing solos after the BHN criticism, and only uses them in short doses now (LBL, TIOBI, etc). The POTQ segment is really nice, too.
I just did a thread saying TGR is in dire need of that 1997 Noel Gallagher solo, it's crying out for it.
Hopefully he's kept the solo in RM (hopefully developed it even further....I want that guitar laden epic version of that song, damn it).

The solos kind of died a death after SOTSOG (or at least the memorable ones anyway) so I'm not expecting many. Two or Three at the most?

There's been three memorable guitar solos since 2000. Gas Panic!, Shout it Out Loud and The Importance of Being Idle. So don't hold your breath.

I would count in The Turning and Roll It Over of course Noel wrote the song but do we know if it was Noel or Gem who did the solo in The Turning?

Dunno about The Turning, but he didn't write the one in Roll It Over.

The Good Rebel has a guitar solo, kinda. And the Record Machine demo has one as well. I would be happy if we got three or four guitar solos, but I'm fine with brass solos like the one on TDOYAM as well...always look forward to that when listening to that song.

Dunno about The Turning, but he didn't write the one in Roll It Over. He wrote it, Strangeboy Stacy played because at the time Noel couldn't play it.

Champagne Supernova. Both the studio and the 90s live versions.

I always loved the one on IGBM. I love how it builds and builds and then just explodes. I love the way at the end it fades out them Liam sings "It's Getting Better Mannn" and it explodes back with the drums. It's one of Oasis' best songs, the outro was a wee bit long though haha Anyway. Fav guitar solos Live Forever solo DLBIA solo CS solo SMS outro IGTBF outro

Live Forever, and like a few of you, It's Getting Better Man - the craziness of that song (and the whole album arguably) is what makes it.
