Heloooo madferits! I wrote my first post yestreday but I'm a fan of the site for a long time. So I'm from Croatia, region called "The Magic Land of Istra", US fans who follow sports may check Mario Andretti birth place  I'm 22 years of age, my older brother is the reason I started listenin' to Oasis, He was big fan of them in the 90' (but so was I) but nowdays I'm way bigger fan  I don't know that here in live4ever is anybody active from croatia, if isn't, I hope I will be. If anybody have questions about croatia (maybe someone plan to visit) or anything else, I'm here for help anytime So Stay Young & Live Forever! Cheers |

Why yes, I do have a question regarding Croatia. Is it true you Croats prefer salty dishes over the sweet? Is it?!

@bluejay personally, yes in miles ;D but this is just me. In generaly I cannot say 100% for sure, but I think that is true, maybe that you ask people directly salty or sweet, the answers I guess would be around 50/50. But if you look in everydays life and what are people cooking and buying then I think salty dishes. Let's see something, here in region of Istra (at Adriatic Sea) we are great gurmans and we're famous about our prosciutto (not some shit ham or whatever, the real deal homemade prosiutto), olive oil, truffles, fish on "gradele" and we have great wines + we have great nature (sea and land) and places (google some of these "istarske konobe", "istarski gradici"). Tourist if come here and taste anything from what a mentioned, they will come back. In other regions they have other great stuff like lamb "ispod peke", on islands there got some great types of chesse, in region of Slavonia they are know for some types of flavored sausage like "kulen". I can go for days like these. Some regions and cities are famous for they sweet dishes and deserts like "Samoborska kremsnita", but in my opinion we got more to offer from salty dishes and we like it more to I must go eat something, this talk about great food... |
