Washed Out is fucking great, nice choice!
Smith Westerns-Weekend
These guys have been blowing up the past year and they deserve it. They're only around 20 to 21 and their new album, Dye It Blonde, is just fucking great. I've seen them three times over the past year and they've improved so much.
Cut Copy-Need You Now
Phenomenal dance music. There's some 80s cheese yeah, but they put on a great show. People here might like their older album, In Ghost Colours, more.
Destroyer-Chinatown
Black Night-The Dodos
White Demin-Drug
I know Noel said these guys are rubbish; he is very wrong.
Roosevelt Island-Eleanor Friedberger
Ready To Start (Damian Taylor and Arcade Fire remix)-Arcade Fire
This was with the expanded edition of The Suburbs that came out this summer. The "remix" doesn't kick in until the very end of the actual song, but it's fucking phenomenal.

Dear Friends-Elbow This is the most beautiful thing they have ever written.

Recharge & Revolt-The The Raveonettes Under Cover Of Darkness-The Strokes L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.-Noah and the Whale Holdin' On To Black Metal-My Morning Jacket Most Days-Mazes Dive In-The Horrors Novacane-Frank Ocean Grown Ocean-Fleet Foxes She's So Scandalous-Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears When You Wake Up-Best Coast Lose It-Austra The Hellcat Spangled Shalalala-Arctic Monkeys This Isn't a Good Night for Walking-Arches Every Night My Teeth Are Falling Out-The Antlers Codex-Radiohead The Morning Son-Beady Eye You Know What I Mean-Cults

I still need to listen to My Morning Jacket's new album. They were fantastic at Bonnaroo, but I haven't been motivated to listen to them since.

I really don't get the love for Miles Kane. It's a nice throwback, but that's about it.

jordan71421 - Moving To Mars is a great tune, ignore the pathetic hate.
I completely agree with Cast's choice on that Elbow track - really beautiful, though for me, Lippy Kids just shades it as one of the best tracks of the year.

I still need to listen to My Morning Jacket's new album. They were fantastic at Bonnaroo, but I haven't been motivated to listen to them since. It's decent nothing compared to their better albums though. Their performance at Bonnaroo was brilliant and slightly better than the one they gave last weekend at Lollapalooza. and matt I totally understand. Lippy Kids and The Birds are amazing tracks. I'd add Sunday by Yuck and Chinatown by Destroyer as well great tracks.

Glass Jar-Gang Gang Dance
I'm willing to bet 99% of the members on this forum will dislike this song, but so far it's my number one pick for song of the year.
