well, after listening to it several times, i think it's as average(by Noel's standards) as i thought it was the first time i heard it. It's a 6 for me, not as good as TIOBI(not that i think that's Noel's best or anything), not as bad as some of Noel's past songs. it's not bad, but it's not all that good either. just my opinion. Wowzers, look at you and your 39 karma. Somebody is Mr. Popular all of a sudden. I thought your intention originally was to get it up to 'where it's supposed to be' with the multiple accounts?  well... all of a sudden a whole lot of people agree with me(if you read this very thread). funny huh? As for my karma, yes, i asked some of my buddies to join the site and help me raise it to where it was supposed to be. Then a couple of days ago i logged on and guess what? my karma was @ -48 !!! lmao i was like, whoever's doing this shit must have no fucking life whatsoever, what a sad fucking loser. really, like WTF!? lol but anyways, a few of my friends(2 of which have posted in a couple threads here since then) decided to raise it quite a bit. After all, they are members of this forum and yes they obviously like me, so fair play yes?  |

it's an 8/10 for me. It's not up there with the real classics like LF, Slide Away, CS, DLBIA but its a great track and I think it'll fit nicely in the album.

My point stands. You clearly have self-esteem and confidence issues which need to be addressed. If you were remotely secure in your own skin, you'd have a negative karma number like me. I had one idiot take it upon himself, and his numerous alt accounts, to kick me down to -100+ karma, but it's a stupid number on an internet forum full of people I've never met so I left it alone. Do i wish it was where it was before said idiot went on his little crusade? Of course I do. Am I going to put on my pathetic pants and adjust it myself? Well, there's nothing wrong with the song. I like it just the same as I did the first time around. It's great as a first single, so no issue there.
My only 'beef' with the song is that it is so similar to TIOBI that it loses its specialness. Its like its twin. It's a great tune but TIOBI beat it to the punch by a few years. However, the brass reminds me Going Nowhere, which is one of my fav Oasis and Noel songs, so thats + points for TDOYAM.
In the end, I rate them both the same. 8.5/10

Seems like the average on here is about 7,5. Seems about fair  I like it everytime the tune comes on, but it's nothing special that I really want to listen to again a hundred times a day like I have with some new songs sometimes! I think it would've been better if this song was just a song on the website as originally planned and not the first single, but yeah their management is famous for making the wrong decisions Anyways, I'm looking forward A LOT to the next single/album. Can't wait to hear IAHAG en EOTR! |
