Somebody's put the audio from the Rio 2009 soundcheck over the Choir and string version released last week. It sounds incredible.

I love when things that come from here come back.

Okay reading the reactions in this thread, there apparently already is a thread about this subject, but I couldn't find it either, so...
Anyway this deserves a bit more attention: that person put up a second, better synced version.\
This already sounds amazing, I only can imagine how the original is going to sound...

i think the song structure is a bit different in the final version. the choir and strings doesn't fit the guitar enough even though it's just a synced version

But in this version there are already some moments where his voice and the strings "fit", and those moments are already very moving... Since it's the album opener my expectations of this song are very high.

That "hang in there love, you gotta hold on" line is gonna be chill inducing in the final version.

This newly synced version is still not quite right, it's a decent effort, but it's a bit short of that guy who uploaded it to Soundcloud, total length 5:08.

Fucking incredible. And this just a synced fan-made "demo". It sounds like it's going to be a haunting start to the album.
I know it probably won't be, but I'd love it if this album was seamless.

The best version could from the man would be albe to modified the instrue and choir with the soundcheck vesion and not the inverse...

But we know the choir and strings are at the correct pace. So why would they adjust the one that we know is the proper tempo?

That "hang in there love, you gotta hold on" line is gonna be chill inducing in the final version. Yep, i cant wait to hear the finished version of this. This part of the song you speak of is the best and it'd go on forever if i had my way

But we know the choir and strings are at the correct pace. So why would they adjust the one that we know is the proper tempo? Exactly, even though it is simple to do it the other way there would be no point. The soundcheck version drags wayy too much, especially now that we've all heard the proper tempo.
