I would love for someone interviewing Noel on his promotional tour for the album to tell him the massive fan reaction to the single and album covers. Talk about a night and day difference in opinions. The single artwork is universally loved on this forum. The album artwork is despised it seems by most people and all would rather have the single as the album art.

Hopefully the album cover is 3D or something, giving the reason why it looks like a blurred picture of vomit.

I feel less disgusted by it now than I did the first few days. It's still crap though.

What annoys me is that so many people working for/with noel didn't tell him or whoever decides on the artwork that it looks horrific. Surely someone should have told somebody.

the white album was an ace album cover though weren't it??
i guess that's why oasis fans stopped buying em because of the artwork?? who really gives a fuck about the album cover?? it's the last thing i EVER think about.

There's at least a reason for the white album to look the way it does (minimalism). There's no artistic merit to doing a second-rate version of the worst album cover (Heathen Chemistry) by a band who had shit album covers, generally speaking.
Album covers matter because it's part of the overall package. I got one of the pre-order packages and I'm none too pleased about the prospect of having that vomit alongside my other LPs.
Of course the music is what really matters, but it's nice to see an artist cares about putting out a complete product, artwork and all.

Of course the music is what really matters, but it's nice to see an artist cares about putting out a complete product, artwork and all. this. I'm so disappointed with the album artwork. Its just down right horrible. I was expecting something a lot better because of the superb DOYAM's artwork but this is just downright dreadful. If the album is great then no one will worry about the damn cover but still it's a let down. Then again it's the only let down in Noel's solo career so far for me and thats a good sign.

Easily to get that out, replace the covers of the single and album and presto! you have a superb album artwork.

I think the fact that his single art was so great made the relative blah of the album art that much more shocking.

I think it's the colouring putting people off. If it was coloured a bit differently it'd be good, but the fact it's khaki/sludge colour makes people think of sludge. Should be brighter and more stand-out

It's not as bad as I thought it was when I first saw it. I still hate it, yet I've kind of warmed up to it a bit. The bit, is basically me realizing that it's not complete shit, but I still think bad.

Morning Glory is a terrible cover but the music is great. The album art becomes iconic AFTER the music.

Funnily enough...it looks better on the green background of the NG store than else where. I think it's because it brings the greens out more than the yellow browny colors...

I tend to associate a song with the album cover so this is gonna be bad. For example when I think about Champ Supernova the MG cover comes automatically attached to the song in my mind
