How would you clasify oasis music? Today this was fuckin knockin my head  ; many people call it britpop, others rock n roll, others just oasis sound, classic rock...how would you clasify noel's music? I dont think they fit in very well in the britpop stuff, maybe cause of their rock n roll attitude...  |

oasis isnt classic and its not pop, so i'd call it brit rock! makes sence dont it!!

he was the first real rocknroll star. But everything evolutes, develops. so do rnr stars. How bout Keef? slash? jimmy page? liam? theyre all rnr stars to me.
Even mike skinner is a real rocknroll star imo...

well i feel that WTSMG? is brit-pop (it's not pop but you get what i mean)
it's along the lines of Blur, Suede, Pulp etc.
it's rock and roll though, you can't really describe it because every album has a different sound, it's mainly rock though

i also think its proper rnr, but yes, every cd has a different sound, though they all still have noel's rock label (know what i mean?)

DM is not Britpop
WTSMG sorta is a poppy type record
BHN is a crazy record
SOTSOG is something weird
HC is too mellow
So no, I don't think that Oasis is a Britpop band.

Britpop was British bands that created a phenomenom
with the unique British sound and they were popular

The problem is that people need to give the pet a name.
Otherwise they don't feel good with it or something. Some people feel like it's Rock n Roll and they'll call it Rock n Roll, other call it Britpop. But if I need to give it a name it would be :
"British Rock influenced by the 60's bands like The Beatles and The Stones".
Another cool name could be "Lennon Rock"
Whatever ..
