..so claims Liam Howlett from Prodigy in an interview given yesterday to an Argentian news paper : -¿El hecho de que Liam Gallagher cantara en los discos fue una elección obvia? (Risas.) maybe one of our forum members could translate the bold stuff for us but here is an attempt by google : He cheered knowledge to me that the producer of Oasis is now Rick Rubin. He is very talented, is the best producer of the world. Some of the albums of Rage Against The Machine that produced, in special the last one, were so abundant of things, so rich, that they had an incredible sound. - In any case, it must be very expensive to contract it... - Yes, but they can support that cost, is not certain? Maybe I am the only one that can't read spanish but it is not helpful at all to have to run this through a translator. Anyways, Rick Rubin is an amazing producer, looks like a nut, but he is one of THE best producers around today. Also, he has produced a very wide spectrum of acts, so that should be good for oasis....
let's just hope he helps speed up the band and possibly give em some much needed inspiration.

this was my translation, via freetranslation.com:
-That means that you are going to appear in the next disk of Oasis?
-They need me in the next disk, so that sound better (laughters). I am going to mark them the rhythm.
-I informed myself that do not manage to finish it.
-Is not so thus. It was happy to know that the producer of Oasis is now Rick Rubin. Is very talented, is the best producer of the world. Some of the albums of Rage Against The Machine that produced, especially the last one, they were so abundant of things, so rich, that they had an incredible sound.
-Of all forms, should be very expensive to hire it..
-Yes, but they can bear that expense, ¿is not certain? (Laughter.)

He also produced Paloalto's 2 albums and if you're a fan of music you should check them out, because this is one of the best American bands out there.

My Spanish is pretty rusty but I'll have a go at getting the key points. Translation sites can't really do it.

Was it an obvious choice to have Liam Gallagher sing on the CD?
It wasn't something I planned. I've known Liam for about seven years, since Noel collaborated with the Chemical Brothers. At that time Liam arrived and told me "My brother has done a single with the Chemical Brothers, we have to make a single together <bit I can't translate>. But nothing happened. Two years later we met. It was 3 in the morning and he said "We should go to the studio and write a song" and I said "Yes, let's go". Then we got up and this time had "Shoot Down", just me and him. He wanted something completely different so this is a song by Liam Howlett on a Prodigy album.
Can we ask if you'll appear on the next Oasis album?
They need me on the album, it'll sound better! I'm going to do them some beats.
<I think he's joking>
It seems that they can't finish it <Not sure about that>
It's not like that. It makes me happy to know that Rick Ruben is now the Oasis producer. He's very talented, he's the best producer in the world. Some of the Rage Against The Machine albums, especially the last one, are in lots of ways great, they have an incredible sound.
He must be very expensive
Yes, but they can afford him, don't you think?
I think that most of that is right. Turns out I can remember more than I thought! Very positive news, certainly.
