I love all of BDI's record save for maybe a few songs, and really dig Noel's new track. Leftovers are usually better anyway. Gives it time for the flavor to soak in. You know the songs are good if they're still alive through all these years.

i'm sorry but i don't see how people think that TDOYAM is more similar to TIOBI than TR is to Instant Karma. TR is a nice tune but lets be real here it owes a lot to Instant Karma this new tune could stand on its own if you know what i mean.
regarding the "leftover" deal I don't care its all about the tunes if these are some of his best tunes I don't care if we've heard shitty soundchecks or old demos of them. I'm so happy IIHAG made the cut that song could be a masterpiece. But I guess if Noel left off RM, STC, and any other tunes we've heard people would be let down a bit. Its just peoples personal tastes I suppose. You win some and you lose some.

The Roller no more screams Instant Karma than this does TIOBI........they are both solid songs, but I prefer TR.......and I do think TDOYAM is Noel by numbers...too easy....listen vs In a bubble with a bullet and see which song sticks around and is more enjoyable. In a bubble with a bullet is better than the whole BDI album, IMHO. TDOYAM > Bullet The soundchecks > TDOYAM

You do realize that we've only heard 4 tracks off the album, two of which are soundchecks from the DOYS tour. Which means that -as far as we know- they've been written after the release of DOYS. As for the other two songs, in what world does including two old demos means it's a leftovers album?
Regarding the "writers block", a total of 28 songs, not to mention the b-sides and the other 9 he wrote for a third album says otherwise.

Knowing Noel's recent tendency his B-side will be remixes . Not the first one anyway. Or the iTunes bonus track.

Beady Eye are the leftovers. The talent walked out the door in Paris.
