Rockers Oasis are in danger of never releasing another album - because they've lost their creative spark.
The Wonderwall band, fronted by guitarist Noel Gallagher and his singer brother Liam, have admitted to suffering a series of setbacks in the recording of the follow-up to 2002's Heathen Chemistry.
Earlier this month, Noel wrote a letter to British music magazine NME in which he confirmed Oasis had ditched a load of material they "didn't like" and that recent studio sessions have been "frustrating and fruitless".
But an insider tells UK newspaper the Daily Star: "Being in the studio with them, the chemistry between Noel and Liam just isn't what it was.
"They still have tensions and arguments, but it doesn't seem to gel into the music how it used to.
"I really can't see where this next album is going to come from. Everything they've done over the last year has been scrapped."

Oasis puzzle over sixth album
Fans fear Oasis will never make another record together after the projected release of their sixth album continues to drag on.
The release of the follow-up to Heathen Chemistry has already been put back a number of times and they have now gone back to the drawing board again.
It is all a stark contrast to their triumphant gig at Glastonbury last month.
The project has certainly had its difficulties - Oasis stopped working with Death in Vegas for the album back in March.
It seems they abandoned the tracks they recorded together because they were not sounding up to scratch.

Sounds like typical tabloid bollox, an insider says this, oh yeah get real, thestar is so full of it (closely followed by bizarre). The story may well prove true in the end as everybody knows the problems Oasis have had but at this point the story is completely fabricated I hope we get at least one more album after this wait, if not many albums. ;D ;D

i know. if it happens, true 90s rock and roll is over. no more verve, no more blur (well, good blur), no more stp, no more nirvana, no more radiohead (once again, not the real good radiohead). now it might be no more oasis? depressing.
all we have left is pearl jam, to a lot of people's dismay on this forum.

I personally think Noel has great songs for the album (Solve My Mystery possibly the much talked about Stop The Clocks) but he always seems to go too over the top. The demos of SOTSOG are a prime example.. the songs stripped sounded much better than all the layers of overdubs he has put on too many of his tracks since Be Here Now. Maybe it's time for Oasis to strip their sound a bit (Liam would't like it) but maybe it would be for the better. Noel's use of "overthetopness" maybe be getting the worst of Noel and his tunes.
Remember what Noel wrote "Cos' all of (us) the stars have faded away try not to worry you'll see them someday" wouldn't that be an ironic epiptaph?

All I know is if they do quit it wouldn't be the end of the world because I know i've got the greatest records ever made in my bedroom and in my CD player.
I hope they dont quit as much as everyone else but at the end of the day you've got the best music anyone has ever made. Noel cant write anythin like Def Maybe or Mornin Glory anymore, he's too fuckin old to be writing about 'Sisters and Blisters' so for anyone out there thinkin they're gonna hear another Def Maybe, Mornin Glory, Be Here Now then i'm afraid you aint gotta chance. Because the biggest fact is, is that it would be fakin it. Im sure you'd agree that if a dad in his late 30's started writin another Cigs & Alcohol......
That would be fuckin stupid....
Also, i'm not to fussed about when the next album comes out (i know a lot of you wouldnt like that) As long as when it does come out its fuckin mega.
I'm a massive Oasis fan but I wont let it faze me out of real life.
