It seemed a bit more like a "making of" the video than any kind of teaser for the album. But I don't mind. Any kind of info is better than no info.

That's right around the corner from my fucking house. Right in the middle of fucking nowhere! Noel Gallagher was within walking distance of my house and I didn't even know! Bob Dylan did his Cadillac spot right there a few years ago too.

That's awesome. Where is that?
My brother is going to work in LA for a bit. Might walk by there if I have time while I'm visiting.

I'm not usually one to go nuts over this sort of snippets, but this SOUNDS-FREAKING-AWE-SOME!
I prefer to have low expectations, but this sounds like the second coming of Gas Panic, and that can only be good.
Sorry for the overreaction, it's just that it sounds so good to my ears.

It's okay. I haven't heard anything to make me excited. I'd like to hear the "outro" in the context of the song. Hard for me to get a grasp with just this small portion.

I'm not the only one who has said that it might be the outro. And yeah, I need to hear it in context. Just like the rest of us. Hard to figure out if something is good with less than a minute. And last time I checked, you didn't have the Mavs in the finals, nor winning it all either. Let's not act like you were completely right.

Fucker, no one outside of DAllas had the Mavs in the finals, let alone to win. i for really, got nothing out of that clip. what i do like is the 'billboard', 'it's never too late to be what you might have been'. genius. pass it on......... we're gonna hang out, it's gonna happen. you are awesome. fuckers!!!!!!!!!!

Come to Chicago for the Noel show. We'll hang out there, in the get together that will probably happen with the rest of Noel fans before the gig.
Yeah, the clip was okay. I need to hear more. Just don't see how other people are getting excited.

Yeah, the clip was okay. I need to hear more. Just don't see how other people are getting excited. I for one am getting excited because I can see the potential in it. I differ from other people in that I DON'T see it as the outro, but possibly a different section of the song, with the center channel removed. The reason I think that is because if you listen carefully to just the audio snippet, you can hear *some* singing in the background. That's why we only hear synth and drums in the clip. I can tell I'm really gonna like this song.

not to be a buzz killer but do we even know for certain that this is TDOYAM? It could be The Good Rebel, or another song on the album or just a random instrumental from the sessions.

Yes, it is TDOYAM. For certain.
The Good Rebel is supposed to "sound like Neil Young.", by the by.

You're really expecting songs to sound the way Noel describes them? C'mon, you know better.

To Be Fair, Noel has said that his song sound like a lot of things, and the description for the Good Rebel came out ages ago. I think it's fair not to automatically assume that were listening to TDOYAM, until we hear the full track. Even though I'm also fairly certain that it is TDOYAM.

Would be silly to play a different song in the trailer for the video of a new song. ALMOST as bad as getting people hyped in a teaser video with a riff from a song that's not even yours.
(I'm going to try to incorporate Beady Eye into every post i make in the NG section today)

^ People are gonna lynch you.
That soundcheck sounds like it has the lyrics TDOYAM and bits of it sound like the snippet off the video trailer.
It's a good point that it could be a different bit of the song with the center channels removed. I hear the bits of the vocal shoe222 is talking about...but Noel could have just buried a vocal line in the outro as well.

But it is promoting the video which is for the song. I'm not saying it's impossible, just highly unlikely they'd play a different song in the background of a video promoting a particular song. If it was promoting the album then we're lowering the odds considerably.

Get a feeling this first solo album is gonna be 'Standing on the Shoulder of Giants' done properly! (ie minus Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is, Little James and I Can See A Doobie-Doo). Gonna be songs along the lines of Gas Panic, Sunday Morning Call, Roll It Over, One Way Road, Carry Us All. Kinda alternative acoustic driven with a smidge of electronic sounds thrown in.
Just a feeling I get....
