it looks like is "talk trash about liam" season. What i don't understand is why every time someone talks shit about liam's voice or Oasis being over, some fans get all heated up as if it actually were true.

To be honest i do appreciate some of radioheads music. I went on a blur forum abit ago just to see what type of things they talk about, to be fair it was funny but i never left an insulting message or took the piss out of them because that is the music that they like. I think its pathetic that radiohead fans wanna take the piss out of oasis fans. Who the fuck do they think they are? I suppose they think they are far more intellegent than oasis fans but there is nothing intelligent about not being able to accept the people have different tastes in life and and not having the maturity to respect them. adios

I dont think that that is fair to be honest mate. Im at university as i have to get a degree to do the job that i want to do to make a better life for myself.

fair enough but are you gonna pay off your student loans? or do like most of the others do and get a normal job for five years and get paid under £16,000 so you dont have to pay the loan off?
Presuming you live in england....

im certainly not gonna earn under £16,000 if i dont have to. Im all up for paying back what i owe, but i think its fair that the government and tax payers SHOULD pay for MY degree. In the future it will be me who will be teaching THEIR children and they will want me to be properly trained. That just my opinion tho. But i do see what your saying, there are people who i know who are doing pathetic courses and dont know what they are gonna do afterwards. But i can assure you that i am a genuine student with a plan. Also, i work 25-30 hours a week in a bar which is how i can afford to get pissed, money that I have earned.

Just a fact for you Tomo. If you drink alcohol go out on the piss whatever (like we were so proud of doin during the britpop era). According to research government funding for further education pales in insignificance. When compared to how much they spend on repairing leery drunk people at the weekend in casualty wards all over the land. I know its not related to what you are on about but im sure you will see people like yourself also spend the governments money

Yeah, fair play if you will be doing some sort of service in the future that will help out the country. Not these guys who study things like fizziology (i think thats what its called, where you study the way words are pronounced) But I stand by my opinion that it is your choice to better your life not the tax payer. i'll tell you what disgusts me the most though......these stupid cards that students have that allow them to buy cheaper beer, discounts in shops etc... Thats deffo not fair. I work 40 odd hours a week, pay all my taxes and have to pay full price for these things. I dont care what anyone says, how can you justify that?

Tomo - with all due respect, you're talking complete bullshit mate.
i also hate to see students on pointless courses just wasting their time getting stoned, but the fact is that most students are not like this and work hard for their degrees
and the income threshold for repayment of loans is £10'000 so the vast majority of graduates with jobs, pay back their loans as soon as they start work
also, graduates on average earn a higher wage than non-graduates, and therefore over the course of their working life, pay more money into the tax system than non-graduates - thus paying for our own, and others' education...
Next time you need a doctor, how about you give him shit for being an ex-student?

I work 40 odd hours a week, pay all my taxes and have to pay full price for these things. I dont care what anyone says, how can you justify that? these 'stupid cards' are Union cards. Members pay to join the union and then the union uses these funds to negotiate the discounts. Most unions could do similar things...if they werent run by idiots...

I dont understand whats your point if no one went to university the world be a complete fuckin mess, just because your taste was in a job that didnt need qualifications does not mean that other peoples cannot. Im sure most would not go to university if they could get the job without goin. The students do not ask for these discounts there their in front of them so there gonna use em, like im sure you would if you had the opportunity. The reason they have the need for these discounts is because the governments want people to go onto higher education so we can have people to take on jobs that need knowledge of certain areas, these areas which add to making the world go round, and it is difficult to earn a decent wage while studying, especially as there is low pay to most jobs without experience and qualifications. If there were not discounts the students would most likely have to borrow more money which im sure you would not like.

so students pay into NUS cards. Nah.... well my uni had its own union which we did pay into, but im not sure if the NUS charges now If you really want to hate people who con money out of the tax payer - why dont you look at the benefit cheats? or the thousands of pointless administrators doing bollox-all working for the government? We pay for them and we pay for their unions to go on strike to get more money out of us! now thats crazy.... just out of interest, whats your job tomo?

Thats deffo not fair. I work 40 odd hours a week, pay all my taxes and have to pay full price for these things. I dont care what anyone says, how can you justify that? This is how i can justify it. In september i will be starting my 3rd year at university. My loan for this year is £3700. This loan is divided into 3 for each of the 3 terms. That works out at £1233.33 every term. Now, i have to pay for my rent which includes july-december and a month rent for deposit. My next loan is in september and has got to last until Jan. So out of this loan i need to pay the equivilant of 7 months rent which works out at £1834 at £262 per month. This is a deficit of -£600.67. So to pay the rent i need to find £600 from somewhere. This might be possibe if i can survive on no food or water. Luckily I have a job that i have to work hours that fuck up all my uni work and leave me tired and worn out before i even start my uni work. But its ok tho coz ive just increased my £2000 overdraft by another £500!!! That is how i can justify receiving a "buy one big mac get another free" token or a voucher from a nightclub that lets me get into the club for half price one WHOLE hour before eleven pm!!

OK i'll make me point...
Right, I dislike the fact that you can go from school to university and study inappropriate degrees. I have no problem with people like JayG trying to be a teacher, did I reply to him negatively? I just said is he gonna pay his loans back. Its not productive to study a lot of things in university (i'd list a lot of courses that are not productive to the country, but cant be arsed, but i will if any of you want me to) and, this is a fact, a lot of people go there for the doss, its a trend. You're right, we'd be in a right state if we had no quacks wouldn't we? But a proffesional fizziologist I can live without. I went to school got 2 A's, 2 B's, 4 C's (the rest i cant be arsed remebering.) And, as I have grown up in a working class background , I went straight to work. That was my choice.
If you dont like my opinions, you can fuck off.
