Obviously fake. If you actually read the thing you would see that. It's a piss take "I shoulda chucked you off that ferry years ago..." ;D "I wish I could slide away, just for today, if I could have my way, come what may, where's my mate, Ray?'" "Should I shoot the sky, should I shoot a nun, would I shoot myself, if I had a gun?" Brilliant

"Sounds like: Gary Glitter deflowering a oxe"
John Graboff on pedal steel and Glitter whack off on an ox. But I guess that would be on the Amorphous Androgynous album.

I don't know if I'm mistaken but didn't Noel write "Record Machine" after Heathen Chemistry like Stop The Clocks?

Sounds like: a joke review from someone who hasn't heard it.

I know some of the comments seem a bit far fetched and many of the details have been mentioned by Noel himself, for me though it could be possible - the source seems credible and if he's pal-y with key Liverpool musicians (ie. Russell, the Zutons' bassist) it could be that he's heard the finished article, we'll have to wait and see...

You must be in on this joke too or something (perhaps you are him) because nobody in their right mind would take this seriously. It was a funny post he made to give people some humour. Like somone saying Noel has joined an all girl band singing Robbie Williams covers.

I can assure I'm not in on it, however I remember the people who laughed and shouted "Fake!" looking foolish when the someone recorded the rehearsal / recording of "Bring The Light" and up loaded it to YouTube when it did indeed turn out to be genuine. If the article's fake, fine - big deal. If it's not you heard it first...

You are the one that thinks that humorous review is true Perhaps if you read through it again carefully and see that every track review features an amusing pun/lyric/joke you would realise it isn't a serious review. It's meant to be funny.

I shall highlight all the funny bits in red for you 1. Everybody's On The Run: Largely a plodding instrumental chug with a glam rock beat containing a sample from Neil Young's Live Rust. Contains Noel and his Flying Birds coo-ing in the background. Sounds like: Gary Glitter deflowering a oxe.2. Dream On A wistful strum-along which Noel wrote in a Portakabin while stoned circa '96 while escaping a gnarly bust-up between Bonehead and Guigsy. Sounds like: A Kinks out-take recorded in a sock.3. If I Had A Gun... This 'achingly beautiful' mid-paced ballad finds Noely all introspective, contemplating: 'Should I shoot the sky, should I shoot a nun, would I shoot myself, if I had a gun?' It's a 'grower'. Sounds like: Oasis 4. The Death Of You And Me A piano-led autobiographical account of Liam and Noel's ups and downs. Containing the line 'I shoulda chucked you off that ferry years ago...'Sounds like: Ocean Colour Scene's cult classic Unplugged in Stourbridge. 5. (I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine An old Oasis number rejected for Standing On The Shoulders of Giants for being a bit rubbish. Given a makeover by Jagz Kooner it now has a beat. 'The psychedelic one'. Sounds like: Oasis. 6. AKA... What A Life! A six minute 'jam' with Kasabian's Serge. The 'krautrock' one. Sounds like: The View.7. Soldier Boys And Jesus Freaks A three minute acoustic ballad decrying London life, contains the line: 'I wish I could slide away, just for today, if I could have my way, come what may, where's my mate, Ray?'Sounds like: Oasis. 8. AKA... Broken Arrow Another instrumental this time recalling hidden Oasis track The Cage. But includes sitar and a bongo drum. 'The George Harrison one.' Sounds like: The Beatles circa 1967 9. (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach A mid-paced mod rocker with Miles Kane playing sixth guitar.Sounds like: Paul Weller. 10. Stop The Clocks An old Oasis MoR track who's title became used for their Best Of but wasn't good enough for the best of. Sounds like: Oasis

It's meant to be funny. Where did I say it was true? Can you point that out to me? I can read, obviously you can't because at no point did I say that. I was just passing a link to something to let people judge for themselves and use for reference - but obviously you're the oracle of Oasis knowledge, you know best and so it'll be of no interest to you. So why are you still here dickhead?

I said the source could be credible so therefore it COULD BE / MIGHT BE possible that the reviewer has heard it. At no point did I say I believed it, I let people judge for themselves. World of difference I'm afraid. I liked how you highlighted the funny bits - like I didn't get it or something or understand the humour of the article, hmmmm....

I'll leave you toy with the possibility that this could be a credible review and that Noel has indeed written an album about shooting nuns, throwing liam off a ferry and features a song that sounds like The View and krautrock at the same time. Have a nice day.

You said the source seemed credible,it could be possible and that we "have to wait and see". Good day The source does seem credible, it could be possible he's heard it and we will have to wait and see - so am I still back tracking? Maybe you want to ask yourself why this thread is in "Facts and Fiction"?
