I had a sudden brainstorm at my last visit to the library. Here in the U.S., if you want to borrow an item your library doesn't have, and the item was released within the last year or so, all you have to do is ask at the desk and they'll buy a copy for the library at no charge to you. All you have to do is fill out a small form with the item info and your library account number.
I requested they purchase a copy of DGSS, and I encourage all the other U.S. fans on this board to do the same at their libraries. It's easy, doesn't cost anything, and will almost guarantee that new people will pick up the album out of curiosity.
And if you're outside the U.S., just ask a librarian if they have a similar programme where you live. Chances are they might.
If you can think of other ways to promote the band, post them! ;D

Who goes to the library anymore anyhow?!?! Unless you are under the age of 5 or over 65, then you should get online and forego the antiquated library system of yesteryear.

I go and i'm not 65 lol! I don't have a book reader thing and I prefer real books anyways. Why pay reatail or even go to a second hand bookstore for a book when I could get it for free? You can also get movies, dvd's etc all for free. Plus, as the OP pointed out if there's something you really want and they library doesn't have it they can order it for you. The library I go to even has a cafe that looks like barnes and noble and free wifi and stuff, you can actually hang out and stuff. Not for everyone but I def like it.

I go to the library all the time. Aside from all the reading material - of which there is a lot - you can find all sorts of music and films. I remember being thrilled to find loads of old school punk stuff: buzzcocks, damned, the clash, stiff little fingers, specials etc.
It's a temple of knowledge!

This is a good idea. I'm to lazy to do it but those with more ambition should definitely try it out.
