So I was just watching the BDI interview from the Isle of Wight Festival.
Liam says they've demoed 3 songs and that they are looking to release their second album next summer?
We already know that the AA collaboration is ready to go and is ear marked to be released next summer as well. There is now way that they are going to let them release together.
I suppose that they could release 3 months apart and both be in summer. But seems like whoever gets the later release date is going to miss the chance to play them @ the festivals.
What do you guys think will happen? Think BDI will be pushed back since their album was finished last? or maybe Noel's will since he will have had the last release?
Although I suppose it's possible that Liam could be just underestimating how long it'll take to get another album ready to go from scratch?

How could you say that they dont want to release them together? It might be a big publicity stunt to do(and it would help to sell more to both projects). You never rule out with the Gallaghers, 'cos they might surprise you!

They the management not they the Gallaghers
Mostly because Noel has said that the management company are being very careful about them not putting singles out near eachother.
Maybe they'll be more lenient about the albums though

I think the second Beady Eye album will take longer to make than the first and would be happy with an autumn 2012 release. A lot of the songs on DGSS had been demoed for a while, and the guys took a few months off after oasis, so between the songs that had been worked on in oasis and the ones they brought forwards from that period, they had plenty to work with. I'm sure they've been writing on tour etc, but with everything being from scratch (presumably) then it's going to take a bit longer. Plus Liam has suggested they'll be a bit more adventurous which also probably means taking longer. I'm sure it will all work out just great for those of us interested in both projects - we get time to digest each album and another one comes along just at the right time

In the case of both albums being ready the release for the summer, I guess Beady Eye would get the first release seeing as they will actually play the tunes on the festivals. When Noel was asked if he would play the AA tunes he just answered 'It's far out man, it's the furthest I've ever been' so that made me think he's not really planning on touring that album..

he does then say he doesn't want to put the kids through it iniatially.. at the moment.
i think he'll defo tour it / have it out before beady eye second album
i agree with gimh realistically beady eye's second album won't be out until very late summer probably autumn

Liam also said that DGSS would be out by summer 2010 to be fair. I'd take it with a pinch of salt.

They aren't going to compete. The management won't let that happen . . .

Having albums released at the same time won't matter compared to singles, because the lifespan of an album is longer than that of singles. If anything, having albums released at the same time will boost sales.

It would also boost single sales but they are avoiding that.

It'll be cool if Noel decides to keep mixing it up with different backing bands.
Hopefully it'll keep his stuff fresh and he won't get stuck in the "five lads playing rock n roll" format.
