He wasn't obviously sarcastic, but I didn't take him too seriously. It's natural for Noel to exaggerate. That's how he is. I don't really expect the album to be too Oasissy. It's not going to have a lot of DM-like tracks on it, so I'm not surprised that there aren't many solos. But I'm just saying that I take Noel's descriptions with a grain of salt, because he can be a bit florid at times . . .

You need to look up the difference between hyperbole (which is what you are suggesting) and sarcasm (which you misused)

I think people need to relax. Noel was just kidding around at the fact that a friend of his pointed out there isn't much guitar solos on the album. He was joking around by saying no solos until track 6. I wouldn't take what he said as a fact. We have all heard the demo. There is a great solo towards the end of the song. It will be probably be mental.
In the past, going as far back as 2002, 2005 and 2008 even, Noel described Record Machine as a big "Champagne Supernova" style track with great solos on it. I think he even wanted to add a choir to it. Maybe that is why the Crouch End Choir is on the album. I don't think he altered the track much from his original concept found on the demo. We shall see
