(one of my favourite quotes, ever) I met him first time in 2002 when he went out of his way to come say hi to fans(people were far from the venue behind a fence and he strolled over from behind the building and went same way back after). It seems there was some shift there in later Oasis years, lots of people had a bit disappointing experiences. Before he came out of the building on Wednesday his security people were telling everyone several times he won't be stopping for autographs but will go straight into the car. Don't think they were his words though, he did stop and didn't seem to mind it:) |

(one of my favourite quotes, ever) Yeah I think he understands, he also said something like 'When I started to become famous I made a pact with myself to never ever turn down / be rude to fans or ignore people asking for signatures'. But if he could just try to smile while doing this kind of stuff it would make a world of difference You would have shot his wife if you were there. Thank god you weren't ;D |

He understands fans but a) as we know, Noel can be moody and just feel like being left alone b) some fans are a little crazy c) some fans are very crazy. d) he might have places to be. But if it's the right atmosphere and Noel's feeling charitable, he'll do it. I've found that lately, Liam's been more apt to meet fans for longer periods of time.

Some people feel uncomfortable and awkward being the centre of the attention or being flattered and they don't know how to react when that happends, mainly cause they think they don't deserve all that.
I don't think Noel doesn't like fans or doesn't care, he's just shy and cold.
In my opinion famous people should be nice with fans cause fans deserve that but otherwise it's better for them not getting involved too much cause if so they'd probably end killing themselves.

It's shocking to me that no one has brought up the fact that he was attacked by a random "fan" while he was performing on stage. Wonder if that might have something to do with it...
