What do you guys think? Seems like a lot of people who want things tweaked on the demos of RM and STC, but what about the other two?
I personally think that IIHAG will turn out the best, but that's biased because I'm in love with the soundcheck version. ;D

I'm partial to if I had a gun. Close second to RM

the fact that IIHAG has pedal steel guitar has given me a boner

IIHAG looks to be a winner. If you asked me this a month ago I would have said Record Machine...but the fact that Noel snuck it in the middle of the album and (allegedly) took out the guitar solo, makes me really lower my expectations for that song. At one point several years ago it was supposed to be a ten minute long Champagne Supernova like thing, with (allegedly) three guitar solos. It looks like we're only going to be seeing a mere shell of that.

RM
maybe theres still the solo in the song, i think noel just said no solos till sixth song without remembering the exact albums tracklist order

I also think someone show throw a vote in for Stop The Clocks...it is now the album closer after all.

If I Had A Gun, without a second thought. It is the most incomplete demo/soundcheck song we've heard, yet even in it's incomplete stage it blows me away.

Everybody's on the run sends shivers down my spine. It is very heartfelt, i think this kind of thing is what to expect from the solo stuff. Not rnrs and c&a

Gotta be IIHAG, the soundcheck version is haunting. Imagine that with some creepy stings or something, I could be mesmerizing!

Really interested to see what he does with it.

I'm least looking forward to Record Machine, but I'm still looking forward to every song a great deal.
For me, it has to be If I Had A Gun - I mean it just has one of the most beautiful melodies I've ever heard. I'm looking forward to this album more than any of the last Oasis albums - I've thought every Noel tune on the last two albums have been so far superior to the Beady Eye members tunes. On Dig Out Your Soul, High Horse Lady works in the context of the album more than any of the Beady Eye members songs (apart from Soldier On).

Record Machine. I've been a big proponent of that song since the day I heard it. It has epic potential. Don't let me down, Noel!
So I voted for RM. But I'm interested in hearing what Noel has done with IIHAG, too. The soundcheck of that song shows solid potential, as well.

Record Machine. If he released the version that I have now I'd be happy. Well, if I'd never heard it before that is.
Love everything about it. If it improves then man I'm excited.

Just listen to the STC demo again. The outro really is great. That'll sound great at the end of a record!

Judging from the soundchecks I have a bad feeling that I would get tired of IIHAG too quickly. It depends heavily on the production however, so I would wait.
I went with STC, thought it was amazing all along from my first listen.

Just listen to the STC demo again. The outro really is great. That'll sound great at the end of a record! I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but when I hear the outro to the Stop the Clocks demo I keep expecting there to be another song afterwards, but it never comes.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but when I hear the outro to the Stop the Clocks demo I keep expecting there to be another song afterwards, but it never comes. Yeah. If most of the song had the sound of the outro, it would be mega. Sadly the sound (sound, sound) plods along over whiny vocals from Noel. It has potential. Let's see if the Chief was able to work his magic on this one. After all, he did say there were more than several versions lying around of it......

I just hope IIHAG doesn't turn out to be a country song.

Noel always exaggerates there's probably a small guitar solo [or even more] before the 6th song. He also said there's no acoustic guitar on DOYS before it's release and there's cleary acoustic guitar on 'I'm Outta Time', at the start of 'Falling Down' and at the end of 'The Turning'
I'll bet the guitar solo is still in tact on 'Record Machine'

I sure hope so, because Record Machine is the kind of song that's just ASKING for a guitar solo (if not several) to flesh it out a bit.

I voted If I Had A Gun, but I'm kinda edging towards Everybody's On The Run.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the soundcheck clip of If I Had A Gun and wasn't particularly fussed on Everybody's On The Run, but the appeal of the former is how raw it sounds, where as I can see Noel seriously beefing up the latter.

Now that I think about it, it seems like Noel could really go big with If I Had A Gun. Strings section, Crouch End Choir, etc. I'm thinking this could end up as the second coming of The Masterplan.

can't wait to see how all of them will sound but voted for record machine as already a huge fan of this song, and i can only see noel playing with it slightly to turn it into something truely epic
