Seems they were more interested in the split up lets be honest, that was the reason for the press conference, if it wasn't then Noel wouldn't of said anything or management would of said dont ask questions about the split Noel knew what was coming hence the opening line of 'let battle commence'

Don't know why he didn't do original b-sides for DOYS. Problem with b-sides is there isn't really a market for it these days. People only buy the single these days and ignore the b-sides - decades previously, you couldn't just buy one song. Personally, I think iTunes should make artists release singles as part of a package where you have to buy all the songs from a single - it might save the b-side.

If b-sides are no longer recorded to help the singles sales, at least they should keep being recorded to please the fans. I believe artists owe the fans that I can't see proper bands dropping B-Sides... it's a space for them to mess about and do their own thing... but corporate musicians would drop them, definitely... Coincidentally, I spoke to my sister yesterday about B-Sides... and even though she's into different music, she said she loves them, they're like a little present! She said that The Wanted record covers as B-Sides... Okay, they may not be original songs, but it's something for their fans to enjoy... So, If a pop group can release B-Sides because it pleases the fans, I definitely can't see rock bands (Noel and Beady Eye in particular) stopping the B-Sides... They care about the fans, they want people to hear what they could do... I would be VERY upset if Noel dropped B-Sides though... And commenting on the remixes thing... I think it's alright... it's better than nothing... But personally, I would prefer to have one original song on top of the remix... But beggars can't be choosers...

Don't know why he didn't do original b-sides for DOYS. Who cares...over and done. But he always put out two b-side tracks on the Oasis singles whether they be remixes/originals/live versions/alt version/covers. The chances of us not getting proper b-sides is pretty slim IMO. But I may be proven the fool. You mean like The Shock of the Lightning, backed with just one track, the Falling Down remix, which had already been given away free on iTunes and was included in the DOYS discbox the following month.... You'd have thought as Noel was putting less songs on the albums he'd have had more b-sides as the years went by. Pretty obvious he chose to stockpile them instead for a solo project. It is what it is and I don't have a problem with it, but let's not try and make it out to be anything else.
