is it true that oasis's first single was actually a very limited edition of columbia on LP?

It was only a radio single I think, like it wasnt actually sold in shops.I think it was the first radio only single by a band who hadn't released anything before to be played on radio 1. I think you can get the version on the b side of supersonic, but it might have just been the album version that they released,I'm not sure.

ive found out that it was issued as a white label vinyl only 510 copies pressed I think its worth alot more. It was a White Label Demo version on 12inch Vinyl. It was the first time ever that Radio 1 played a demo of a band on peak time radio.

When i was younger i used to buy oasis bootlegs from this dodgy market. The women who ran the stall told me that she had a copy of I am The Walrus - Oasis version on a 1 sided 12inch vinyl, she sold it to some bloke for £10. Found out a couple of weeks later that the vinyl is very rare and was worth £500. The women didnt know anything about anything! Only wish i had got there first.
