I went with excellent. I have extremely high expectations for Noel.
We have heard 4 songs already. None of them are bad (in their present form). I expect him to revamp many of them. There are 10 tracks on this album, and we can already somewhat assume that nearly half the album will be at least very good. At that point you have 6 more songs. If he can come through on say 4 out of the 6, that would be very near excellent.
I think it will be better than DGSS. I thought that many of the songs on DGSS were either average or sub-par. Many of them were made better by the sheer force of Liam's voice and the production. I think that Noel has an advantage in that many of his songs are above average. It's really him executing in the studio. That's the test. If he can get even close in terms of the high standards of production that DGSS had, then this album has a very good chance of being truly great. He already has the songs. The question s what has he done to them.

It better be good, only because half of these songs we knew he had since around 2008/9...some like STC and Record Machine, many years earlier. As far as I can tell, this isn't like DOYS where he wrote most of those tunes in the studio...he's had time to sit and arrange these songs to their full possible potential. If he can't make something great out of these songs, then there's something wrong.
I'm assuming most of the songs he's written recently, he's saving for his AA produced album.
