STC will be the album closer, so I'm sure Noel gave it an epic sound

The already heard track I am least excited about. It's not that great except the drum breakdown @ the end I use to this, but since someone suggested to me the Hong Kong soundcheck of STC, I've changed my opinion of this song. Capo on the second fret, like in the Hong Kong version, is the definitely the place to be. I've played it to myself on guitar a couple times with the capo on the 2nd, and it does wonders for STC.

STC will be the album closer, so I'm sure Noel gave it an epic sound To be fair, he didn't with LTBL. That song really did not live up to its potential I suppose Let There Be Love ended up like that because it had to - i.e. it had to go with the stripped back formula of Don't Believe The Truth, and remember, Noel was reluctant to put it on the album anyway. If Let There Be Love was sped up a bit to make it less plodding and added some strings it could have sounded great I think. With his solo album having strings, choir, pedal steel guitar, double bass, wine glasses, etc, I expect the production and sound to be more lush and expanded than any of the last few Oasis albums.

That's awesome spaneli, thanks for that, never seen this before! You're absolutely right - putting the capo on the 2nd fret elevates this tune to another level. It brings out the melody even more. This is the best version of the tune I've heard yet.

That's what I've been saying all along, ever since that clip came out in 2009!! If it's not in the higher key I'm going to be disappointed.

I think it might be. I think the demo we have was the guide from when Liam was going to sing it. I'll bet the new key from the soundcheck was from when Noel was going to put it on his own solo album and was reworking it for his own voice.

yeah people are really whiney about this song.
so what who cares it's been hyped up and never released, we're getting it and we're getting a finished version... one he's finally went with
so... get over it people.
I'm excited to here this song in a completed perfected way

Sounds angelic when played in a higher key. Perfect for the theme of the tune...fingers crossed that he kept it this way for the album.
