I haven't seen any news about when "The Death Of You And Me" will be released. I've seen through a lot of threads and stuff, but can't find annything about it. Does anyone know if Noel said anything about it?? Just delete this thread if it's answered somwhere else. Just give me a link or something...I'm sorry if you this thread is unnecessary, I'm just so sick and tired of reading through all this new shit And one other thing...are both of the "AKA" songs dance tracks?? Thank You

I agree! Didn't one of these media fuckers ask more about the 1st single? Airplay date? Possible teaser?

He said it hasn't been fully decided yet what the single will be but he has it narrowed down to 4 tracks.

This means there might be a free download, because they wouldn't film DOYAM if it wasn't going to be a single. I'd say they're debating whether to put out a free track before the official single.

I'm curious if one of these tracks, maybe DOYAM is C'mon it's alright. Wasn't it supposed to be the opening Oasis single before Liam went and got married?

Isn't Come On It's Alright very long with lots of guitarsoloes and stuff?? I thought we had a recording of that song from a soundcheck in Japan or something.

I thought RM was going to be 7 min and have three guitar solos.

I thought RM was going to be 7 min and have three guitar solos. I obviously doesn't now. I doubt it's changed much from the leaked version. Probably re-recorded but with the same stucture.

He said the album runs for 46 mins 12 secs, which is about the running time of Dig Out Your Soul - but with one less track, so it might be lengthened out a bit. I'll be fascintated to hear the production on Record Machine and Stop The Clocks - we only have them in simple demo form so hopefully it will blow us away.

How disappointed would you all be if it turns out STC and Record Machine are more or less the exact same versions we have in demo form?

Shhh! That one's saved for Beady Eye's second album. In which they'll work with The Chemical Brothers

How disappointed would you all be if it turns out STC and Record Machine are more or less the exact same versions we have in demo form? Tough question. It's ridiculous to expect them to be super different, but if they were nearly exactly the same, what would be the point in releasing them? Hmmm.

Well I'm sure Stop The Clocks at the very least has been reworked...because the demo we have now is definitely not an album closer, if the tracklisting doesn't change.

I very very highly doubt they will be 'dance tracks' in the traditional sense on the album. This is Noel Gallagher remember.

I think we'll be getting emails in the next week.
I don't think we'll have to wait for long

I could handle RM being more or less the same, STC needs serious work imo.

RM has the potential to be an epic, here's hoping. I do agree the consensus that STC needs the more work out of the two, though.....

RM has the potential to be an epic, here's hoping. I do agree the consensus that STC needs the more work out of the two, though..... The melody to STC is the most disappointing. For literally half the song, he sits an A major chord. If the first 3/4 of the song were half as good as the last 1/4, then STC would be amazing. I think that STC will be extremely layered though. I think Noel will do a lot with that song. RM is pretty good. I like the melody to it. It has some nice chord sequences. I'd like for him to work on the lyrics more.

STC reminds me of elements of Gas Panic! and Who Feels Love, where he sits on the same chord for the majority of the song...but I don't mind it as much as you do because it fits the atmospheric nature of the song.
I also like STC better when it's in a higher key than the demo version, like when he played it in the hong kong soundcheck:

Is anyone else excited that they've only got it narrowed down to 4 tracks for the first single? It may be (probably is) no indication of album quality, but I remember hearing that they didn't have a lead single for DOYS until late in the game. The fact that there are 4 that are legitimately in contention for the first single gives me confidence that the single and the album will both be massive.

The higher key version is much better for sure.

I also kind of wish he saved Stop the Clocks for the AA produced album...it would be very interesting to hear what they would have done with it.
