He blames himself all the time for BHN?
So let's not say, he never blames himself.

This is some exciting f'ing news. It seems being solo has breathed new life into noel. but has anyone noticed noel always seems to have to have a scapegoat? Liam all these years as members of oasis.. just as we saw him blame the breakup because of liam. And it looks as though noel is gonna make two big musical statements.. One that will likely have him playing it safe a bit, and one where he will likely experiment like he never has before.. But with the High Flying Birds, and Amorphous Androgynous sharing the blame with him if the critics deem him playing it to safe/going off his rocker. I think noels a genius but hes Never taking sole responsibility for his failures, yet success is all him and this 2 album thing is just telling me he doesnt have the balls to take a career risk and make 1 solo album to represent him.. Im venting but he is a 40 year old man.. hes just so damn immature sometimes... that being said cant wait for the new album. You're really reAching now The High Flying Bird, save the drummer, weren't involved in the record. This album is all on him I get the impression the AA album is a collaboration not a true solo album. About time someone took some risks. Judging by DGSS it's not gonna be BDI.

He blames himself all the time for BHN? So let's not say, he never blames himself. And SOTSOG. Pretty much everything until LAG started contributing half the album

Making an album with AA isn't "career risk" enough for you? Fucking hell what do you expect him to do? Sing Nazi songs while taking a dump on the Koran?
P.S. If "..High Flying Birds" is shit I'm totally blaming the bassplayer from Zutons..... NOT!

He blames himself all the time for BHN? So let's not say, he never blames himself. Actually he does use a scapegoat... He says all the time that drugs ruined his ability to decipher how the album should be recorded and mixed. He said the tunes are there, he just hates the length and production. So, drugs are his scapegoat for why he doesn't like BHN.

What a load of tosh. Noel calls it like he see it. That doesn't mean he isn't bias, of course he is. Everyone is bias, especially when talking about themselves. But to think Noel never blames himself is ludicrous.

A man saying that the record has quality tunes on it, but drugs ruined his perception and ability to objectively record / mix it puts the blame on drugs. How is that over-reaching? I believe that assigning blame for a shortfall constitutes a scapegoat...

Do we have to go to a dictionary of what a scapegoat is? Using drugs as a scapegoat would be him saying, I had a great album. The drugs hurt me. I messed it up. The drugs were the only reason that that album came off bad. Noel has mentioned a number of reasons as to why BHN did not succeed. And one reason was him. And he has directly stated that. And if you didn't feel that you had over reached, then you wouldn't have deleted your original thread. You over analyzed and that's really it. You just won't admit that you're wrong.

What thread did I delete? You're delusional, man! And my point is that Noel stated that the drugs are the reason that the album wasn't appreciated; that he was fueled by cocaine, alcohol, etc., so he couldn't properly decide how the record should be mixed.

He's said consistently that the albums had some great songs, but the drugs interfered with how they were recorded / produced / mixed.

I've edited my original statement about you deleting. I thought you were the OP. Sorry about that.
Though I will still contend as many other have, that Noel in multiple interviews has not always blamed drugs for BHN. And he's never used a scapegoat for SOTSOG.

Fair play, I wasn't trying to start an argument intially. On the subject of SOTSOG, I've read that he really enjoys it. I thought that he said that the critics slated it, because it was so different... Although SOTSOG was probably a casualty of mis-timed release, it happens to vary between my 1st and 2nd favorite Oasis albums. I love the chance he took and hope he goes in that direction with NG'sHFB!

That the worlds were great but the songs weren't there. As a songwriter that is blaming himself. He never even mentions LJ.
