OVERRATED, and I like Nirvana for the record. But it gets way too much hype for what it is. I get that it means something to people, but it is also a small fraction of the problem we currently have with the music scene and society as a whole. Nirvana taught us all to say "Fuck You!" to the mainstream do as your parents did society. Unfortunately, that has brought rise to a lot of problems. In short, everyone is apathetic to life now. i really don't see the point of your post and/or coming and posting what you did. it's almost as whiny as the stupid fuck J.B.'s posts. we get it, you don't like Nirvana. Nirvana were and are great, i'm sorry you can't see that but whatever. Nirvana were rebellion. Nirvana were emotion. Kurt Cobain had more charisma and emotion in his pinkie than most people have in their entire bodies. aloha! Clearly you didn't read the post very well. I do like Nirvana, a lot actually. But I don't really care for their credos. Just like Noel said, I'm not having any of this "I hate myself and I want to die" bullshit. That's all. Cheers to LIB! Peace.

^I want two of whatever you're taking!! i still don't get it. your post seemed not in context, and quite frankly inappropriate. i like you but you do seem a little 'stuffy' sometimes, maybe 'holier than thou', maybe that's not the right expression but whatever. my prescription would be to have a fucking an alcoholic drink or maybe smoke a little pot. i'd also never label a band i like 'a lot' as overrated. maybe that's just me but i am also completely fucking crazy, for really. aloha!

Yes, yes you are crazy. Or is the whole world crazy and you the only normal one? Ponder that, Ohioan.

Nirvana were more than a 'fuck you' sort of band... leave that bollocks to Rage Against The Farts.
In relation to their other albums, Nevermind is overrated as it does overshadow albums like In Utero, but I guess having worldwide hits with Teen Spirit and Come As You Are really sort of sealed that albums legacy.
Unplugged is just great aswell - apparently, according to Michael Stipe (Kurt was a massive REM fan, and listened to Automatic For The People before he killed himself), the next Nirvana album would have gone down a more acoustic sombre route. I think that would have been awesome to hear.

If Nirvana songs had more meaningful lyrics, their legacy would be close to perfection. Cobain had a great sense of melody, shame he didn't care about lyrics
