Anyone heard this yet? What an absolute mess they've made of the whole thing. They've cut out the instrumental bit in the middle which is fine, but they've chopped out half of the little fills in between the verses, the whole thing sounds terrible. A more sensible cut would be to remove the final chorus which has already been repeated twice before that. They've made the edits to get it under 4 minutes for radio, ending up at 3:52 - the cuts I've suggested would take it to around 3:48. There's one too many chorus at the end anyway, so taking one out would made it a better edit IMO. Wonder who was responsible for doing and clearing this edit, must have cloth ears to accept that butchering. You can hear the official radio edit at Jim's blog - rkid003.blogspot.com/2011/06/beat-goes-on-promo-cd.html

I just listened to it and I see what you mean. I don't think it was THAT bad though. Pretty poor edit alright though

I love the last chorus with the added tambourine, removing it would be a huge mistake for radio and they know it. It's the part of the song people will want to hear the most.

What especially bothers me is the "drum loop" that comes "too early". Don't see why they needed to cut those 5 seconds extra.
Anyway, people who don't know the album version probably won't mind.

It wont chart and wont be played anyway, so why cut it?

I dont know what it is but there is just something wrong with Andys melodies.
It might be that they are to repetetive but surprisingly still not catchy. The melodies sounds forced. Obviously Outta Time is in another league than TBGO but still nice try from Andy. I would prefer if Liam and Gem do the songwriting for Beady Eye in The Future though. Andy isnt gifted enough imo.

I'm no great fan of Andy and his Oasis work was poor, but Four Letter Word, Millionaire, The Morning Son and The Beat Goes On are my four favourite songs from the album - 3 out of 4 from Andy.

My 5 favourite Beady Eye songs are all by Andy....believe it or not. Although this changes daily.
