in my book, he's the best american songwriter since sondheim, copeland & gershwin. He's definitely on that mount Rushmore. When Pet Sounds came out, it 40 years ahead of its time. Now in 2011, its still 40 years ahead of its time. Music has still not caught up to the genius of Brian Wilson.

Amazing, brilliant songwriter. Genius even. in my book, he's the best american songwriter since sondheim, copeland & gershwin. I can't really stand most of Sondheim work! The other two are fantastic though.

Pet Sounds is the greatest album of all time, a very belated happy birthday to him! Paul McCartney was born two days before him, amazing how close those dates are!
