The band name was shocking at first and now I've adapted to it a bit. But does Liam actually seriously think it's a good name or is he a publicity genius that wanted to raise eyebrows?
Think about it, the name 'Beady Eye', the mental album cover, the goofy monkees haircut, I think he wants us to think that he's out of his mind. If that's the case, then he's done pretty well!

I don't think Liam is trying to make anyone think any particular thing about him. He is one of the few who genuinely don't care what others think and I would say he has proven that times over.
As far as the name I don't think he put to much more thought into it than, "What will put us by The Beatles? Hmm... Bea... Bea... Veiny Love Stick? Maybe. Beady Eye? Fucking top let's do it."

Nope. I think it just happen to be the name they came up with.
It's not bad when you start think of it as a handle instead of thinking about the meaning of the words.

Nah, it's okay... The first few days after they announced it, I thought "Nah, this is wank, they'll flop"... But a week later I was like "Y'know what? I actually like it...It's all retro/psychedelic... It's cool"

Haha, you make it sound like Liams doin a Charlie Sheen!
Honestly though, Beady Eye is a shit name, but the music speaks for itself. I know its probably got its haters, but for me DGSS was a lot better than I was expectin, definitely makes up for the dodgy name n dodgy artwork.

I've grown to love it. I thought it was odd at first. But then you see the interview with Liam when he speaks about the name and just lol! Beady Eye is great now, so unique and different.
And also... When he does the thing when he stands and stares at the audience... with SUCH a beady eye! He did it at his first gig and he looked like the King of Rock and Roll. Was spectacular!

Everyone has questioned the sanity of the name Oasis, but it is what it has become. The same can be said of BDI.
