Maybe he just likes playing his music in front of people? Liams the biggest rockstar of his generation, played to millions of people over 15 years, what are the chances he's just enjoying playing his own tunes with his own band?

I could not give the slightest fuck about how they're received in america. Agree 100%, when 90% of Americans don't own a passport their opinion on an off shoot band from Oasis doesn't concern me 1 bit. My point being is the vast majority of America didn't 'get' Oasis in the way that they 'get'/'got' Coldplay and U2 for example. When BDI agree/sign up to do the festivals they will know their allocated slot/time, if Liam and or the band didn't like it they wouldn't do it. They are out there gigging their debut album and from everything I have read BDI are enjoying the buzz and excitment that brings not longing for the tired, stale days of Oasis

i m glad its not the same as oasis anymore!
a new band, a new record , new songs, a loot of great new songs.
i dont want to have another "mammuth" playing live.
i want fresh music, i want a band playing a new set of songs and not a nostalgia thing anymore. oasis is over. it s time to move on, if you dont, there s still time to join the coldplay fanclub and hear their greatest hits set. in the meantime i m gonna enjoy my life with beady eye , no matter if they are headlining or not.different gear, still speeding...

I'd never realistically expect Beady Eye to get any bigger than they are now. If anything, they'll probably dwindle a little in popularity come the 2nd album (it'll almost certainly be more of the same, which is fine if you're a fan). Honestly, this doesn't bother me at all -- as long as they're digging their music and injecting the energy live and most importantly playing smaller venues frequented by madferits -- then I'm happier than a pig in shit. A bonus would be if the 2nd record is an improvement over the first.

Damn, that is depressing. I couldn't even watch the whole thing! I could (and did) and the thing that depresses me further is that Beady Eye is (relatively) big in Italy so if that is a reaction at an Italian festival then... :-(.

I was at Beady Eye's first gig in Glasgow. No one knew the songs, as the album came out 3 days before. But we went ABSOLUTELY mad fer it. Seriously. Everyone was going nuts. We knew the Roller and Bring the Light, and that was enough to go nuts to. And for the rest, we sang what we could, and loved every second.
The American audience are fucking shit anyway.
