Who cares? We already know. There isn't any doubt. I want some proper news. Screw confirmation of stuff we already know. I just hope that when he finally confirms it things will start happening really fast unlike with BDI. It was ages from the time Liam started talking about the album to the release of music and information. I have a feeling they will. We may not have gotten news...but I don't think we are very far from a release. Agree. We should be getting actual news by the end of this month or by the beginning of next month. The only problem is that I've been hearing "we should get news by the end of this month" since March. I reckon it's all true but I fear Noel may end up postponing for whatever reason kept him from anouncing anything about the album.... |

I understand what you're saying, but people were expecting any kind of news, not a press release for the album. Noel simply stating "yeah, I'm working on a solo album, probably will be ready in 2018". That would be news enough and I really don't see why would someone be considered insane just to hope for some kind of statement. I mean, we are used to hearing from the guys a year before they ever enter in the studio, and there is always constant news about how are the recordings going. That's why Im surprised Noel did all so quietly. So yeah, all this silence made me a little suspicious, and lets not forget that the argument "he's waiting for BE tour or whatever" is an assumption made by everyone... I reckon it makes sense, but still.... |

Honestly, I think he is trying to avoid a Noel vs Liam or Noel vs Beady Eye. I would do the same. Cos let's face it, if Noel states he is working on or will be releasing an album shortly, the headlines would be pretty obvious. But a part of me knows that that scenario it's inevitable whether Noel releases it next week or next year, and because of that I'm a bit confused and intrigued.
Hopefully, he will just go "fuck it I don't care" and release it tomorrow
Of course, there's the chance only one copy of the album will be printed, cos he's doing this album and filming the video in order to give them to his wife as a wedding present ;D

With the no official confirmation from Noel, I, at times, think we're being Mavered with this whole solo project/album bit. Noels got enough loot to payback everyone that's been involved in whatever work he's done and not release shit for months maybe even years on end a la Lee Mavers style. BUT with the economy the way it is, ex wives alimony and child support plus his own family and extravagant lifestyle, there's money to be made. I think come mid to late July is more likely when "official" news will be made public

If he had just recorded the songs and only had the album, then I might think that he would sit on it. But he did shoot a video. Videos tend to get dated quickly. I couldn't see him sitting on a music video and then releasing it a year or two down the road. If he did release it like that, I think it would look extremely dated. So for the pure fact that he has actually recorded a video, I tend to lean toward the side that it will be released soon. |

I could be wrong here but, have we had 100% confirmation that a video HAS been made. i mean it could all be BS....i have seen no photographic evidence to back this up and most sources seem to take posts FROM HERE and just assume its accurate?

You did read the rest of this thread? In terms actual video confirmation or pictures, no? But we didn't have that with BTL when the story it broke, did we? We she had one of the dancer's that was in it's tweet. We actually have more sources to go on with this one. We have a camera guy who worked on it, tweet about it, we close to 100% know that In A Place Production did the filming, and then they basically confirmed it on their Facebook, until the info was taken down. I think just about any investigator reporter would take that and print that and not having any doubts in their mind as to authenticity. |

What? He didn't shoot it in 1988! Most videos become dated quickly. Have ever tried to watch a video that's even two years old? It does seem a bit dated. Now some of that depends on the video that you're making, but videos become dated the quickest. Styles change quickly. Not just in terms of "fashion"styles, but also filming styles. I'm not saying that it will look incredibly old, but it will look a bit dated. And that really can't be fixed. That's why he won't sit on it for too long. Because even him sitting on it for two years, will make that video almost useless. Plus, who makes a video and then sits on it for two years anyways? |

It's totally ludicrous. Doesn't really matter if its cutting edge. Plus I think most people were going crazy for the new crane that he was using. Which gets amazingly cutting edge shots. Take Falling Down. That's not a particularly innovative video, but at points it does look dated. Probably because that video is more based on fashion. I'm Outta Time uses animation. At the time when it came out, I thought some of the low key lightning and the animated animals and stuff were decent, today I consider it piss poor. Two completely type of videos, but both dated in their own way. But if you looked at any video a year or plus later, you do notice some things in it that makes it part of the time that it was released.No matter if its Lady Gaga or not. Videos and pictures tend to become dated the quickest. I don't know maybe because I study film, I notice those kinds of stuff. I just threw two years out as a random number considering that some people have said that he might sit on it. Anyways to the actual point that I was trying to make, I don't think he'll sit on it. Just because I've never heard of a person making a music video in advance of an album and then sitting on the video and the album for an extended period of time. |
