Just stole this off another website. Kinda like plagerism... enjoy the reading. funny thing is i was listening to Standing Here by the Roses today and the similarity to Cloudburst smacked me in the head ______________________________________________
"Oasis has also being accused to plagerism. They have never denied them. But I don´t think it´s a problem. Oasis has created their own style and sound. Though if they have ripped off songs they just take great songs and makes them even better, with their own style, sound and way. Oasis is not a band that just steals! With that cleared out I list all the songs Oasis has being accused of "stealing"." - quote
Alive The Smiths: Girl Afraid - The guitar solo is the same
Cigarettes & Alcohol T- Rex: Get It On - The riff is the same
Cloudburst The Stone Roses: Standing Here
Don´t Look Back In Anger John Lennon: Imagine - The intro has the piano tune
Fade Away Wham: Freedom - Part of the melody is the same
Half The World Away Burt Bacharach: This Guy´s In Love With You - Almost every chord is the same (though not in the same order)

Doesn't nearly every song these days sound like something else. yeah that can be said a lot of the time. i swear i've heard the riff from Seven Nation Army before.... Noel has never hidden the fact that he copies stuff from songs although sometimes (shakermaker, Hello, step out) he takes it too far. But people look far too much into certain so-called connections between songs - stuff like "similar guitar chords" is just bollox. what do ppl expect - there are only 12 basic chords to choose from... i cant see the resemblance of Hey Now to I wanna be adored....not slightly - maybe someone can explain it? supersonic - how soon is now? lol nah..... swamp song is a blatant rip of the Canned Heat tune! musically anyway-on the road again has lyrics. and the harmonica just adds to the likeness!
