looking at noel's latest songs they seem to be very different from his earliest days and to be specific I mean songs like Mucky Fingers, Part of the Queue, TIOBI, GOYHHL, Falling Down, TSHB
These songs are nothing like the typical oasis sound so do you believe that this new pattern/inspiration will be all over the album or would he rely on his anthemitic typical oasis songs
or is it just me that thinks these songs are different ;D to me I would prefer this new sound, I really like all these songs and I want something new and noel is capable of doing it
anyway I would love to hear your opinions about this

I think it will be a mix... We might get a Live Forever.... And we might get a Wonderwall... We might also get a Falling Down... and we might get a Stop Crying Your Heart Out... I think it will sound almost like Time Flies or Stop The Clocks...
What I'm more interested in, is who else is going to be on the album... I can't see Gem or Andy being on it... But maybe Weller, Miles Kane, maybe the Kasabian lads, possibly Richard Ashcroft... and (this is a long shot) if there are the likes of those on it, will Noel let any of them sing lead on any songs? I doubt it

TSHB is "Those Swollen Hands Blues," the B-side of "Falling Down."

I hope and think that Noel will do all the lead vocals. Maybe he could have a guest do backing vocals. But without doubt he'll have some well known artist(s) somewhere on the album.

Wonder who he'll use for drumming.
Think he'll do it himself? I was so impressed with the drumming on DGSS...

^^^ me too Chris did really a great job I was shocked how good he was on the album and definitely the best drumming since MG
for noel's album I think he'll do the drumming for most of the tracks and there might be some exceptions anyway noel is an alright drummer and he'll do fine

i too am eagerly awaiting Noel's solo album, i have high expectations but i am a bit(actually a lot) more realistic than some of you. For instance, i do expect the new album to pretty much be a mix of The Tuning/TIOBI/POTQ/Falling Down and perhaps if we're lucky something that resembles Little By Little. No, we won't get any Live Forevers or Wonderwalls, don't be naive. When was the last time Noel produced a song like that? EXACTLY. Let's hope we don't get any crap like High Horse Lady or Mucky Fingers. I expect a good album, not a great one, and certainly not something on the same level as the first 2(or even 3) first Oasis albums.

I'd love another POTQ. What a fantastically awesome song.

On which Oasis songs did Noel play the drums again?

Mind you guys, there will not be a DLBIA-ish song, he is alrealdy tired of this type of song, I believe we will have the POTQ/TIOBI/FD kind of songs.

i expect a lot of 5-6 minute long songs with loads of acoustic guitars, drum loops, keyboards and distorted vocals. It's gonna be a great album, it will certainly surprise a lot of people

The only thing we can't expect is guitar solos. At least not any elaborate ones.
