Does anyone know if Noel has indeed ever performed Who Put The Weight Of The World On My Shoulders live? Im reading he has not.
Also does anyone have any articles where Noel speaks abot WPTWOTWOMS in interviews?
It's my favorite song and theres not much ever said about it.

He refers to it in an interview in Italy to say that both LBL and WPTWOTWOMS were written around the same subject for inclusion in a movie...but they kept LBL and gave the other because they liked LBL better.

LBL and WPTW... were associated with different movies -- the one written along with LBL was FoN. Actually, does anybody know if WPTW... was written specifically for that movie "Goal"?

No. I know that I heard Noel talking about writing 2 songs for the movie (which he wouldn't name) but as far as I know the only film he ever gave an original tune to was Goal so it must have been that. He said he gave one to the movie and kept the one the liked better. FoN was also on the album so there is no way it would be written with the same intent as LBL. plus they don't share a theme. WPTW does share the theme though

WPTW does share the theme though LBL and FoN were written for a movie called "Love, Honor, and Obey", and Noel gave them FoN (which I think plays over the credits). This was back around 1999, so the songs could have been on SotSoG, but Noel wanted to hold them back for the next album.

About WPTWOTWOMS, Noel said once that it was at the same time similar and opposite to "whatever".

Cast No Shadow is also in Goal if I remember correctly. And I think maybe even another Oasis tune at that. It's been years since I watched it though.

Who Put The Weight... is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard, especially the bit when Noel sings 'help me out my friend my head just started to hurt'. Full of emotion, something that some Oasis songs lacked in the latter years. Really love the tune.

Sounds like Starsailor or something. Mopey melodrama... Gratuitous string usage... Not my bag.
