Actress Patsy Kensit is in talks with TV soap Emmerdale’s bosses about a role in the programme, it was confirmed today.
Executives at the soap are talking with the 35-year-old actress’s agent in a bid to discover the type of role that Kensit would be interested in playing.
An Emmerdale spokeswoman said today: “We’ve spoken to Patsy’s agent to find out whether she would be interested in appearing.
“We’d like her to appear but whether that would be in a major role or as a cameo appearance, we don’t know.
“Nothing’s been confirmed yet. Nothing’s gone any further than that.”<br> In recent storylines the farming village in Yorkshire has been hit by plane crashes and huge storms which have wreaked havoc in the community.
But Kensit is no stranger to appearing in action scenes, having already been seen in the films Lethal Weapon II, Absolute Beginners and The One and Only.
She has also had stage experience, with a role in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Richard III.
Kensit was a child actress and starred with Robert Redford in the screen adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby.
But she has become best known for three failed marriages to rock musicians, most recently Liam Gallagher of Oasis.
After her turbulent relationship with Gallagher finally ended, Kensit had a brief fling with soccer pundit Ally McCoist.
