Who Feels Love?, Soldier On, High Horse Lady, Flashbax, Those Swollen Hand Blues, Cigarretes In Hell, One Way Road... Half of those are not psychedelic at all. I agree some have got 'a psychedelic touch' , but none of those is really psychedelic. Also, you've just made me listen to Those Swollen Hand Blues again. How bad is that song? This must be the only Oasis song I really can't like, even if I would try to.

^Yehh those swollen hand blues...i'll just never get around to. Noel should of worked more on it!
And as for being phsychedalic.....I always wished Oasis would be more phsychedalic, but too late now...so here's desiring that BE's next alboom would be!

Very. I'd be surprised if Noel ever intended it to be any thing other than a throwaway / pisstake / b-side experiment given his cockney singing voice, Barrett esque child lyrics and annoying repititious chord sequence

I love that song and wish it would've closed DOYS. With more work and a Liam vocal, it'd be up there.

In terms of psychedelia. Would have to say The Hindu Times, Champagne Supernova, Falling Down, Who Feels Love, To Be Where There's Life, Go Let It Out, and to a point Shakermaker and Fucking In The Bushes. And if you don't think that FITB, is psychedelia, then we really need to have a talk. But most of Oasis' psychedelic stuff is on DOYS and SOTSOG, the rest just have touches of it, or small little imprints of it.
The songs that I mentioned are true psychedelic songs, if anyone wants to dispute those, then I'd suggest that you go look up some actual psychedelic music. Some on here are either thinking of psychedelic music as anything that has touches of it, and some are thinking of it in the late 60's acid trip way. Both are pretty simplistic ways of looking at it.
And how can anyone call Columbia psychedelic?

Those Swollen Hand Blues is a decent track. There are some days where I think that it's a cool mixture of Radiohead and Paul McCartney like Beatles, and there are other days where I can't listen to it. It was clearly a piss take, and just something to get people to shut up about b-sides.
But like I said, there are sometimes where I see some good parts in that song. Which shows how good Noel is. Even at his worst, there can be some good still found. Can't say that about many songwriters.

For the most part I agree- there are redeeming features in nearly all of Noel's songs, even the weakest compositions. But I gota say, for me, Swollen Hand Blues was an all time low and the one song of his that I reckon is unequivocally shite. Gas Panic! was his best attempt at psychedelia. Swollen Hand Blues is his worst. Probably worse than Archer's Quiet Ones. Both would fare well in a ' Worst Oasis Song Title Ever' Competition.

To get the thread back on topic, I actually had an argument with Liam over Yellow Tail. I said it was a ridiculous song, and, if anyone's interested, Gem composed it.
I think even the likes of A Quick Peep and The Cage are better than it.

How is Flashbax psychedelic? It's just a mesh of cocaine indulgent awesomeness, like most songs from that era.....
