I remember there was a few songs that were very catchy off one of there albums, anything I should get hold of?

their first album was still the best imo. 'Eddie's Gun' and 'Sofa song' are the first songs by them i heard back in 2006. i've seen them twice in 2006 and 2008. gonna see them again in paradiso next month.

Good songwriting, overusage of the word 'girl' in lyrics, shit production.

The first album (Inside In/Inside Out) was amazing indeed. Naive, Ooh La and She Moves In Her Own Way are really great and not something many "typical indie bands" manage to put out. Their second album had its moments...See the sun is good, and I kinda like Gap. But the rest is really average or bad and the production is abysmal. Their third album should be out pretty soon, let's hope they get back in the right direction.
Never noticed that, but it's actually true^^

'indie' has nothing to do with what they meant.

She Moves In Her Own Way is an undeniable classic - it's the There She Goes of the 2000s. Second album wasn't bad - very hit and miss. I really hope they get back on track with their new record, I think they're a band who've got a lot to give.

They only write on one topic though, Thuperthonic is right. It's getting boring. They need to switch it up.

Mr. Maker of their second is a good tune, but otherwise... Horrible album. I'm not a fan of their first either, they're a good singles band though.

The Kooks? What's next...Razorlight? Snow Patrol? The Script? Razorlight's second album was really good. i met them back in 2008 when they played in paradiso and they were lovely boys. snow patrol's second album 'final straw' was brilliant. sadly they became too big and i lost my interest in them.

I'm not mithered with them. Went to see them at the Octagon in Sheffield about 5 years ago as my ex-girlfriend wanted to go. It was the most boring gig i've been to.
As someone else said, it's a bit too girly for my liking.

Mr. Maker of their second is a good tune, but otherwise... Horrible album. I'm not a fan of their first either, they're a good singles band though. I like See the Sun, as well. Once that tune kicks in after the slow introduction, it's awesome. But otherwise, I'm pretty disappointed with their 2nd album. It's way too samey, and just feels contrived. And as noted several times, the lyrical content is just getting boring now.

The lead single off of Konk was good too, I can't remember it's name though. Always where I need to be? A perfect example of a bad Kooks song imo. The chorus' lyrics are Do dodo do do do do... See the Sun is my favorite too. It actually goes somewhere, most other songs from Konk lack development during the song.

I'd say it's a perfect example of a good Kooks song, it's just a pure pop tune which is what I expect. I also don't really expect much from them.

i've seen them twice, in paradiso in 2006 and in HMH in 2008. They're good live, but sometimes it seems like a solo show by Luke. I'm seeing them in paradiso again next month.
