After Jeff getting quite a prominent role in the Millionaire video and also being in the Millionaire cover, there is a lot of speculation about him joining the band or not. So, once again, a simple yes or no question Would you like Jeff to become an official member of the band?

No. His own band has a more promising future than Beady Eye. And I like Beady Eye.

Hello Everyone, It is not without a heavy heart that I write what I am about to do so....The Black Marquee are dead, I no longer wish to work with Jeff and as I have always said, it don't work without myself or him! I thank you all for the support and patience that you have shown over the past few years. I'll be focusing on other projects and there are many exciting works to come... It is the choices we make that represent who we are... Peace&Love Steven Young

Interesting.

I'd like him as a permanent member.
It would make it easier for Gem & Andy when demoing and in the studio as Jeff would play bass and he seems technically very good so he could chip in with ideas like Chris which would help improve the songs (let the songwriters stay as they are).
He's only in his 20's so he could do his stint with Beady Eye and then move into his own work in 5-10 years once he has built a bit more experience and a reputation. Would be beneficial to both parties.

Oh my, that news are a shame, I was actually pretty excited to see what The Black Marquee were going to offer.
But hey, if that's the case, I'd be very glad if Jeff was to join Beady Eye, and even more if he can give them some of that heavy psychedelic vibe that sounded so good on The Black Marquee's demos.

I personally don't like him. He looks like a samurai with that hair of his. He just doesn't fit into Beady Eye.

A 'collaborator' (as she put it) of Jeffs and The Black Marquee has reassured me that the band lives on ;D
This would mean he won't be joining Beady Eye anytime soon then.

I'd have to say no. The Black Marquee has some great stuff, it's sad Steven Young left, but the band lives on, being more of a huge collaboration (how I like my stuff )... He also has his solo stuff as far as I understand, becoming a full time Beady Eye member would leave him with even less time, he's already a busy lad. He needs to create his own music, do his own thing... Beady Eye and Gorillaz have made his musical world with connections even bigger I reckon, so nothing wrong about him joining up these great bands live!

It would be a massive career mistake if he did.

Wootton is probably the only guy on the planet who wants to look like Ronnie Wood even if it's not Halloween.

I voted Yes to give the kid the benefit of the doubt, even though I don't really care.
Also, how is it a bad career move? If it doesn't work out, he's still young to make something of his life, and having played with ex-Oasis lads only bolsters the resume......

Nah I just like the way they are...Oasis minus Noel... for me its nice to see them together. Jeff while I liked him a lot, seems too young.

TBH seeing him onstage next to them is like Gem didnt find a nanny in time to keep an eye on his kid.

I'd rather keep Beady Eye as Oasis without Noel, but I don't particularly care massively either way.

not sure how creatively he would gel with the others in terms of song writing, I think he like chris would be more like session musicians
