Jonny Wilkinson has been voted the most desirable neighbour in Britain.

The England rugby fly-half came ahead of David Beckham, Ricky Gervais and Shane Richie in a poll of 2,000 Brits conducted by Cheltenham & Gloucester.

Meanwhile, Ozzy Osbourne is the ultimate celebrity 'neighbour from hell', according to the survey.

Glamour model Jordan - currently embroiled in her own real-life wrangle with homeowners who don't want her to move next door - came third in the neighbour from hell poll, behind Simon Cowell.

Catherine Zeta Jones came fourth in the neighbour from hell survey, followed by Anne Robinson, Ulrika Jonsson, Liam Gallagher, Robbie Williams, Linda Barker and Victoria Beckham.

Jordan also appeared in the ideal celebrity neighbour Top 10, at number seven, behind Kylie Minogue and George Clooney.

A spokeswoman for Cheltenham & Gloucester said: ''There has been enormous press coverage recently on the locals of Maresfield, Sussex, who do not want Jordan to live next to them.

''We thought it would be a good idea to find out whether or not people have preferences about who they live next to.''
