Absolutely brilliant gig last night in Edinburgh!! The crowd were mad for it, the band were brilliant, Liam on top top form, and a generally magic atmosphere. And as for Wigwam.... what a performance.
Shame then that the scottish rag the Daily Record has this to say....
BRITAIN’S biggest pub-rock band, Beady Eye, made their debut in the Scottish capital last night with a nervy, lacklustre show at the Corn Exchange.
Led by Liam Gallagher and ex-members of Oasis, the six-piece appeared to be going through the motions, saying little and tearing through the set as quickly as possible.
Gallagher seemed less than confident, reduced to telling a sound engineer what to do and berating one “fan” who hurled an object at him.
Not one of the songs from their debut album Different Gear Still Speeding could be called a crowd-pleaser.
And with a decidedly heavy-rock approach, at times it felt as if you were watching Guns ‘n’ Roses.
The band played for barely an hour, then that was it – and everyone supped up the last of their beer before casting their own beady eyes towards the exits.
Seriously? Utter nonsense! Im sure there are other and better reviews out there but this needs to be highlighted for being so blatantly inaccurate. That review was written by Barry Gordon who is well known round these parts as a complete dickhead who is piss poor at his job.
I should also say that the gig last night was around 700 times better than the Paradiso in Amsterdam - the only other BE gig ive been to. Maybe even 701 times better.

Really? In what way was it better? Because I went to the gig in Brussels, and even though his voice wasn't great (it was the only time they dropped For Anyone =s) the gig itself was mental =)
Just wondering what made it so much better.

That review is a load of crap, honestly. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the greatest gig I've ever been to, but it was a good gig, really good atmosphere and the band played brilliantly.
FFS he asked the sound boy to turn his mike up during the first song, then called somebody a dickhead who threw a lighter at him, that's all, it was no big deal.

Maybe Liam fucked his sister or his wife or something?

''Liam Gallagher says he's moved on. Oasis in the past. Beady Eye in the future. Typical of the man, his recent interviews are littered with f-words and talk about how his new band can become the biggest on the planet.
"F*** being as big as Oasis," he said. "I want to be bigger than The Beatles."
No pressure, then, as the gobby singer swaggered on stage for Beady Eye's first live outing in these parts.
Like when Oasis played Murrayfield in 2009, there was a real air of occasion as Gallagher returned with a line-up that includes all of his former band, bar brother Noel.
The venue was packed with die-hards and, even though Beady Eye didn't play any Oasis songs, it didn't seem to matter to fans, who greeted songs from Different Gear, Still Speeding like old favourites.
The standard line from critics is that the album's "slightly better than expected", but the crowd gave it a resounding roar of approval, as opening number Four Letter Word unleashed mayhem.
As songs, they're hardly the same standard as the likes of Live Forever and Some Might Say but, along with everything else, the band played them with an energy and enthusiasm that was lacking from the Murrayfield shambles.
As he approaches 40, Gallagher may be mellower than he was, but he still commands attention. Whether sneering into his microphone with his hands behind his back, or messing with a scarf that never left his hands, he oozed the charisma and confidence of one rock 'n' roll's greatest frontmen.
True, standouts The Roller, Bring The Light and Beatles And Stones owe too much to The Beatles and the Stones, but then you could say that about most Oasis tunes, too.
The main thing is these songs inspired mass singalongs last night and, if they can knock out a few more in the same vein, Beady Eye have huge potential.

That's more like it.
