...so anyway...
Solve My Mystery/Revolution Song - I think it's a pretty decent track. I've had it in my playlist the last couple days and it's popped on a few times. I liked it back in the SOTSOG days and I still like it now. I will say, though, I prefer WFTR v.2 and Idler's Dream to it. It's better than Those Swollen Hand Blues though.
I don't know if Noel will use any older songs, but wouldn't it be cool if it turns out he uses a couple songs from WAY back, like early-mid 90's? I doubt he will, but it'd be kinda cool if he had planned the whole solo thing and hoarded a track or 2 for 10+ years.

I would definitely like to see this song somehow make the cut on Noel's album. It's always been one of my favorites.

Haha, how random, but I feel the same way about "dope". I only found out about 2 weeks ago the line in Force of Nature is "you dope, you don't know where its at"..something about that just bothers me. It's a stupid word to put in a song. I always thought it was "you dont, you dont know where its at".
Oh well...

^Ha, same, I only realized recently what the line was. And I have to agree, I never liked the headlock line, but not because of just the word -- I always thought it sounded a bit silly. Love the rest of the song, though.

What is wrong with some of you? "They took my faith/they put it in a headlock"....He's saying his faith is being strangled. No idea what's wrong with this? Oh, right, nothing.

I don't care about the headlock thing...not the best of lines...but not his worst either. (IMO his worst line is ruining Take Me Away with the line "where they'd probably need a phone.' I think. I like to lyrics to that tune...that one line is so shite it annoys the crap out of me)

Yeah, thanks again for sharing with us yet another brilliant interpretation of a lyric I don't like the way he used such a mundane word to express something that I know he was capable of expressing it better. Don't get me wrong; I still love this song, its message, and your weird posts

When someone states they don't understand why Noel used "headlock" in his song, it would normally indicate they don'y understand the overall meaning....excuse me for trying to clarify. Additionally, you just said English isn't your first language, which only enhances my point!!!! And still I don't see the problem. It's hardly akin to "I can see a liar, sitting by the fire..."
